Welcome to Elk Island Getaway! We are located 20 minutes east of Edmonton, Alberta. We have 6 campsites available for tent and RV campers. Our group site is site 7a and 7b please inquire if interested in this option. We do not discriminate on anything and are all inclusive Pets welcome on leash. This is a user maintained campground. Please take your trash with you at the end of your stay. There is a toilet available for campers to use but no other amenities. Some of our sites offer picnic tables but not all Mowed Paths to walk We offer propane firepits with propane for an additional fee - please inquire if interested in this. We sell bundles of wood for an additional fee. We follow Provincial and County Fire Regulations Boreal Harvest Farms is right next door with a honeyberry U pick available during part of the year. Starts July 8th open to pick for an additional fee! We are also right by Elk Island Park for all your hiking, biking and kayaking needs. In addition to being an important refuge for bison, elk and more than 250 bird species, Elk Island National Park is also an oasis of calm for day picnickers and hikers. We look forward to hosting you.

Site 6 - Elk Island Getaway!

Peaceful get away

Nice and quick get away with my doggo! I like the set up and since I was the only one there it felt really private and secluded. Would go back again!

Site 5 Off Grid Cabin Coming 2024!

Great place

Great spot, would for sure stay again. Grass is super soft, sites are clean, trout pond a nice touch.

Site 1 - Elk Island Getaway

Not impressed

We did not get Site 1 as the host said because of all the rain they had it was to wet,but as walking to to site there was just one little wet spot.the site she put us in was ok as there was on no other campers there.She never came around a ask if everything was ok.When we drove in it was a just yard.it needs to be keep up weeds all over the place.The only thing it was peaceful and quite.

Great escape from the city

A great campground! Kara and Dan were very accommodating and welcoming. The sites surround a beautiful pond and are a quiet piece of land. My dogs enjoyed going for walks around the property!
