Private sites
100% of recent Hipcampers say the sites felt private.
This property was part of a large tree farm that was owned and operated by a well-respected and well-known family in the community. The family subdivided the land before selling the property. The beauty and serenity - and the variety of trees - still exists to this day.  Learn more about this land: This cozy, private, and peaceful spot is shaded by mature spruce and pine next to a ravine leading down to a small creek and more than 3 kilometres of hiking/snowshoe trails that meander through the forest and along the creek.  Frisbees and horseshoes are available for guests' use. Soak in the peaceful environment and relax in our hammocks or chairs. Two friendly dogs and two friendly cats live on the property and are sure to give you a warm welcome, just as their owners will.  Less than 10 min away are lakes and environmental reserves for paddling and fishing, hiking and bicycling, and geocaching. Local amenities (shopping, recreation, banking, groceries) are less than a 10-minutes drive away.  Although this property is located not far from major urban centres, with convenient access to major routes to and from Edmonton, Spruce Grove, and Stony Plain,  you will feel miles from civilization, thanks to the abundance of trees, privacy and the serenity of the place. It's the best of both worlds! Rest and rejuvenate in your forested campsite without having to travel to the boonies to do so! We want to share our peaceful, serene, and beautiful property with those who can respect our pristine environment.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. It was a prefect quiet place to enjoy the days with my husband. Loved the friendly animals. Beautiful trees and walking paths.

Creek's Edge
Quiet Spot with Furry Friends
With close proximity to Edmonton, Creek's Edge provides simple accommodation in a quiet area. The tent sites are flat and in a nice area amongst some trees behind the house, with enough distance that it doesn't feel you're encroaching on the host's backyard. There's also a space for a couple RVs closer to the house. The property is large, with possibilities for field games, and there's some trails meandering along the creek in the back and into a farmer's field. There's some water spouts around, and a firepit/picnic table, but there's no bathroom (apparently that's in the works). Your human hosts are friendly and happy to check in and make sure you don't need anything. Your 4-legged hosts are extremely friendly, with the orange cat spending a great deal of time keeping me company, which was a great and welcome surprise.

The sites and grounds are well maintained, clean, private, and quiet. Close to town for a supply run if needed. We had a lovely and peaceful evening and look forward to returning!

Creek's Edge
Such amazing and gracious hosts. We had a warm welcome when we arrived and they took time to explain where we were going to camp and if we needed anything to let them know. I highly recommend staying here

Creek's Edge
Camping at R & M’s land was perfect for my needs. The location was on the property of a residential home, which is perfectly acceptable to me. The site was easily accessible and was clear and level, making it perfect for pitching my tent. It was quiet, private and exactly what I needed for a good night's rest as I traveled through on my journey.

Creek's Edge
Private, beautiful & quiet retreat.
What a beautiful and serene property! We absolutely loved it here and had some great R&R. Lots of space, great privacy, and 6 minutes away from downtown Spruce Grove if you forgot groceries or your kids want to go for a swim at the amazing new leisure centre (mine did). We highly highly recommend!
