Old growth aspen forest camp

1 site · RV8 acres · Tetonia, ID
Learn more about this land:This isn't a fancy retreat or crowded campground. Its just my personal little slice of heaven that i want to share with people. There is a RV pad set to park a large camper or van on as well as a grassy meadow that would be very comfortable for a smaller camper or 4WD van. The property is a shady thick aspen forest with occasional clearings and undeveloped game trails. You can expect to see wildlife if you stay for very long at all. It's very common to see moose, rabbits, foxes, deer and all kinds of birds frolicking in the woods. The property is also about a 2 mile drive from 2 different national forest access areas both offering unique hiking, fishing, off roading , skiing, and exploring. Also, grand Targhee ski resort is only a 20 minute drive from the house. The Teton river " 30 minutes away" has world class fishing for everyone from kids to serious fly fisherman. We have 3 friendly labrador muts living on the property so if you have dogs that like to play in the woods and are friendly to other dogs, bring them! Campfires are not out of the question but are extremely dependent on weather conditions.

Ross Homestead Camp

1 site · RV1 acre · Victor, ID
This land has been owned by my family since 1935, and owned by "shirt-tail" relatives before that.  The old house you'll be parked in front of is not habitable anymore, and there is no trespassing into this home or the home's original yard....but, you'll love to be near the big trees my grandmother planted, and the site itself is lovely!.  My family worked really hard to make the surrounding land into farmland.  The hillside right in front of the home is a haven for deer and other wildlife.  If you are quiet and look out at dawn and dusk, there are often deer roaming around.  Learn more about this land:Hi. It's in SouthEast Victor, Idaho, near Highway 33, which becomes Wyoming Highway 22 headed to Jackson, WY. We travel to Grand Teton National Park in 50 minutes. Yellowstone is about 2 hours away.  There is a stream running by, and huge pine trees near you. There are two gravel roads nearby, so it's not super private, but it's easy to access, and such an easy trip to Jackson Hole from here.... The area for you to camp is approximately (but not less than) 100X100 feet.  You cannot access the old house, barn, or other homes nearby, and we respectfully ask for no children or pets on the property.  NO TENTS!!! There are lots of places to trailer to and ride.  On our place,  please leave them on your trailer, and drive them to the trailhead where you are going to be riding.  Do not ride them on our place, please, at any time.We are glad to host your stay if it's open for your dates. This land has been owned by my family since about 1900. My great grandfather was a judge, a store owner, an ice pond maker, and successful farmer here in Victor. We believe in hard work, peace and quiet, and the enjoyment of nature. WE hope you'll love your time camping here on our land. Learn more about this land: Our  RV or enclosed Camper site, located in the coveted area southeast of Victor, Idaho, is the hub of everything for southern Teton Valley and is just a few miles from the western Wyoming boundary, Jackson Hole, WY and the Tetons.   Taylor Mountain, in the Grand Teton Range, is the biggest mountain you'll see directly from here, and the foothills of the Grand Tetons start across the roadway.   There are tons of mountain biking, fishing areas, and hiking trails out our door, starting with the shared use pathway system in front of the campsite.   Close by, there are multiple canyons, streams, rivers, reservoirs, lakes and forests to explore. Victor ID/Gateway to the Tetons

1 site · RV1 acre · Victor, ID
We've had this land in our family for almost a hundred years.  You will be close to Victor (1.5 miles), Jackson Hole (20 miles)  Jackson (22) miles, GTNP about 40 miles by road (as the crow flies, it's only about 5!).   My great grandfather and great grandmother moved here and settled in this once-wild land from Nebraska in 1907.  He was a judge, a store owner, a pool hall owner, and they loved their children.  They were the parents  who created a pond so their kids would be able to make friends easily, the parents who taught their kids how to think,  and they valued education.  Today, several in our family teach today, in schools and colleges.  We have kept this land a working farm during a time when many people have sold for developments, because this land is our life, and we love it.  Learn more about this land:Campers who seek an easy location  in Victor, Idaho, or on the way to Jackson Hole, GTNP, or YNP will love this pull in-style campsite with beautiful views, and a green field surrounding them. The spot itself is about 100 X 100. Find your peace and stay in a spot without having to fight off other campers!   We love the Tetons, and this land has been in our family for generations.  We are proud of our land, and made the choice to keep it a hay field, when many people sought to buy it to develop.   Our family trust will keep this land open and serene, hopefully for even more generations of our family and a few guests to enjoy.  We have only one campsite here in the immediate area around your spot, and hope you'll love the space around you.  Jenny Lake Campground has just been voted the most sought after campground in the USA, and we are an hour from there.   Janine worked guiding trail rides for travelers wanting to experience the West and the stunning beauty of the Tetons for years on and around Jenny Lake.   It was the best college-student work experience ever!  Today, we still love the interaction with happy vacationers and people who want to experience this beautiful area of our country!   The field extends all around you, but it is held in trust, and the area outside your staked off spot can't, unfortunately, be utilized by campers. We don't allow any pets, due to our livestock and wildlife around us.  This summer, we've had a doe and twin fawns wandering around almost every day.  We've had every single type of large wildlife the Tetons offer here at one point or another.    The chokecherry trees you'll camp by have delicious fruit you can choose to eat in season(at your own descretion, and while they are in season-some in our family are allergic, but we've made chokecherry jam and jelly from the fruit from these trees for years). Please stay in your designated camping area, detailed by the stakes.
