Behr Art
6 sites · Lodging2 acres · NMI am a working artist of many mediums; ceramics, copper, painting, collage, et al and proprietor of Behr Art Gallery & Gifts. Alongside this work, I  design spaces and events,  host workshops, markets, annual festivals, officiate weddings, and make my ever-morphing property available for others to share and enjoy. To that, I've spent nearly every day designing, decorating, reconstructing, reconfiguring and reworking this historic property, farm and gardens. The structures I've built and designed that are available for your retreat include the CABIN, the LOTUS, the  POND HUT and the TREE HOUSE.The Cabin  was  once a bunkhouse. The previous owners moved it (rolled it on logs) to its present location.  In doing so, the floor joists needed to be reattached and a foundation was constructed to stabilize the building. My brother and I cut, fitted, mudded, tied, nailed, plumbed, electrified  and created a marvelous space.  This is otherwise a working art studio,  organic farm and orchard, with ponds, shade trees, peace, quiet and some of the darkest skies for star gazing in the nation. My backstory:A Connecticut native, I moved to Silver City/Pinos Altos New Mexico in 1970 and then  to Glenwood in 1982. For twenty-two of those years, I lived on a ranch with a herd of horses and two donkeys, and my passion was endurance riding. After thousands of training hours, competitive miles, and sponsoring the Scorpion Sting Endurance Ride, I  gave it up for the life I now live on this land.

3:10 to Dragoon
4 sites · Lodging, RVs1 acre · Dragoon, AZDragoon is rich in history and natural beauty. The name comes from the 3rd U.S. Calvary Dragoons who battled the Chiricahua Apaches here led by Chief Cochise during the Apache Wars. Nearby, you can visit the confederate graves and ruins of the Dragoon Springs Stage Station. About 20 minutes away is Cochise Stronghold, home and burial place of Chief Cochise and Chiricahua Nat'l Monument is about an hour away (great hiking and climbing!). Unique to this area are the amazing rock formations of pillars, balances, and stacked rocks caused by cooled volcanic granite 50 million years ago.  In addition, our area is home to hundreds of different bird species, the occasional Gila monster, coyotes, deer, and javalina.

Camp Etowa
4 sites · RVs, Tents15 acres · Bisbee, AZFormer ranch land in the historic old mining town of Bisbee, Arizona. Ongoing projects - restoring the orchard, growing new varieties of flowers, cacti and other drought tolerant plants that are "appropriate" for the high desert with Etowa Farms, harvesting and milling mesquite, irrigation, water harvesting, recycled bottle and can walls, composting and turning the corral into a music venue. We are committed to the wildlife and ecosystem at Camp Etowa and will be hosting a swap meet and sessions in sustainability, art, survival and wilderness medicine soon. We have two very friendly service dogs, an owl and a hawk that hang out with us, javalena, jack rabbits, mule deer, quail, doves and coyote that will sing to you on clear nights (sometimes even if it's cloudy). Karla's Hummingbird Rd. Guest Ranch
4 sites · RVs, Tents8 acres · Huachuca City, AZI am a riding instructor and I was a ranch manager in Sonoita for a large estate. I purchased this property in 2020 and I am working hard to turn this beautiful property into something others can also enjoy! I love living here! It's tranquil and very beautiful and quiet. Amazing sunsets and views. Quail and lots of birds all visit. I don't have dogs, the only barking you might hear is from other properties, we all have 4 acres or more, so no one is super close by. It's a safe comfortable non-creepy place for solo campers and families to enjoy. You can come here, walk or bike around, walk your pets without being bothered by other dogs. I left CA because I was burned out by constant noise.
