Farm and Forest

15 sites · RVs, Tents22 acres · Lexington, KY
This land has previously been a tobacco farm, a hay farm, and is now home to a few beef cattle. We acquired the property in 2017, and have been making it our own and enjoying it ever since. We have blazed trails through the woods for hiking, created campsites with fire rings, farmed hay, and grown various vegetables for self-consumption. We love the proximity of the farm to town, yet the seclusion we feel when we are out there.

Welcome to Hidden Lake Farm! We are a family-owned farm and hope you enjoy our little slice of heaven as much as we do. Whether you're a new, inquiring camper or a familiar face, we appreciate your support and wish to make your stay with us as memorable as possible. We offer primitive camp sites (most can accommodate various sizes of RV's), a primitive cabin, and hike-in sites surrounded by woods, a lake, ponds, and unforgettable views. Each site is unique and offers different experiences. Activities include hiking, swimming, boating, and fishing. We also offer day passes for those wanting to enjoy the property without staying overnight and larger groups have the option to rent out the entire campground for a more intimate experience. Feel free to reach out for more information regarding these options or for any additional questions regarding our facilities.

Camp Middle Fork

4 sites · Tents180 acres · Irvine, KY
Learn more about this land: Come stay at Middle Fork Camp: two acres of grass and eleven acres of wooded hillside overlooking a valley meadow in the Daniel Boone National Forest region. Just forty minutes from the Red River Gorge and past homesite of pioneer settlers, the property features an outdoor kitchen, potable spring water, an outdoor shower, WiFi, and 110V and RV-type electric outlets. There is a yoga deck, picnic table, and wood benches with stone ring fireplaces for your use. Help yourself to vegetables from the veggie patch in season! There are ample hiking and trail running opportunities from the site, starting right behind the (private) A-frame cabin, up and over the limestone cliffs or out the gravel road. I have established hiking/running trail loops to scenic points ranging from 1 - 15 miles in length and will be happy to provide detailed information, including GPS tracks upon request. Enjoy! Note: Camp Middle Fork is a true nature area: in season there are ticks, you may see a snake, and common to this region, there is poison ivy in the woods. If you are sensitive, dress accordingly.

I moved back here a few years ago to my home place where I grew up.  To me it is the most relaxing thing I can do to just sit by a bonfire and look at the view.

Queenslake - Classic KY Horse Farm

14 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents140 acres · Georgetown, KY
A long time ago, in a land far away, there lived a beautiful princess who dreamed of a spacious and beautiful farm. She fancied horses running playfully in the pastures; plenty of goats, geese, chickens, dogs, and cats roaming freely. She saw herself sitting beside a large lake under a willow tree, sipping tea or lemonade every afternoon just before her nap. Then one day, a prince came along and said, "As You Wish." Queenslake is a 140 acre working horse farm with a 40 acre fishing lake with three barns and 30 horse pastures. Trails are located around the lake and through the forest for hiking, jogging, biking, ATV, horses. Great scenery. Awesome sunrises/sunsets.
