With an activity-filled harbor, Dana Point is more than just a beach town.
Point your rig in the direction of Dana Point for classic SoCal beach vibes plus plenty of activities that get you out on the water. This small city is far enough away from Los Angeles and San Diego to escape the bustle but close enough to make it an easy RV trip. Surfers flock to Doheny State Beach, while San Clemente State Beach is known for its steep bluff with expansive ocean views. The main attraction is the harbor, where you can go whale-watching or fishing, learn how to sail, or rent kayaks or paddle boards. If you’re towing your own vessel, there’s a boat launch. On land, play golf or check out the walking trail at Dana Point Headlands Conservation Area. There are no RV parks in town so look south along the coast. Oceanside offers RV resorts with hookup options, and alternative sites can be found inland.
