The property is mostly dense forest with lots of rock formations and bluffs with a spring fed creek that has several medium and small waterfalls that surround the property on 3 sides. The creek travels 3 miles from our property and empties into Bull Shoals Lake. Bull Shoals is a short 6 mile drive from the property. The land is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, turkey, bobcats, turtles, squirrels, and though we have never seen any black bear, we have been told they are here. Please be aware that along with all the wonders of wildlife, there may also be, ticks, mosquitoes, deer flies, snakes and other not so nice wildlife. Sit back and relax while you watch nature, beautiful sunrises, sunsets and stargaze at the beautiful night sky. We are directly in the path of the full eclipse in April 2024!!! Do you like roughing it? We sure do! Lots of fishing and canoe rentals nearby. Beautiful scenery and safe primitive camping. Float the Crooked Creek or Buffalo National River and go fly fishing or trout fishing in Cotter (Home of the Whitewater scandal). You may see deer, possum, armadillos, and other wild animals. Snakes also inhabit the area but are usually just black snakes or "king" snakes. They eat rats, please don't kill any wildlife unless you are going to eat it. Two canoe rentals are nearby and the Crooked Creek provides fun floating. The Buffalo National River is about 20 miles away, and Bull Shoals lake is about a 20 minute drive. No light pollution so you can see the stars very well on a clear night. Electricity will be added soon but currently not available. Upgrades will come with time!
