Geo Domes, City Limits, I-17 Access
3 sites · RVs, Tents2 acres · Phoenix, AZLearn more about this land: This is a convenient spot in the city of Phoenix, but it feels like you are camping in the country. Closest neighbors are 150 feet away. I've got 2.3 acres, 3 minutes to Walmart, movie theater, 100's of dining choices in Norterra shopping complex. You'll be behind tall fence/block wall on a full acre to spread out on. (Bring an extension cord for prime spots if applicable) There is some light highway and residential noise if that matters to you. You will hear birds nesting in our cacti, possibly see some hummingbirds or even hear some coyotes yipping at nighttime. We are about a 4 minute drive from a nice hiking area. We are only accepting short-term stays of up to 14 days. This is not a long-term housing solution, but more of a place to spend some time camping and hanging out with the illusion of being outside the city. 2 30 and 1 50 amp power added September 2022. Full time campsite manager on site now. Laundry has free large capacity machines. Water pressure is a-ok. I had a couple spotty reviews over the summer and my previous camp manager let me down. The campfire site has tree shade with table and chairs. Extension cord power (when available). Water hose for water. Septic system with tap at campsite. Quiet generators are fine for summer A/C. If you need 30 or 50 amp power you'll have to park closer to the domes or have an extension. Electric hookups are not guaranteed at this time unless otherwise mentioned. Contact for availability. There is an acre to choose your perfect spot, but power and water won't be exactly where you want it. Smaller RVs & travel trailers, car camping, tent camping, vanlife, overlanding vehicles are what we are accepting at the moment. Please be respectful of the property and all of our neighbors as we are surrounded by residential housing. There are currently two property dogs that may be off leash, but are very well mannered and friendly, and stay close to their sites. Please drive slow inside the property and keep the gate closed when not in use as there are coyotes in the area. Please do let us know ahead of time if you are afraid of dogs or have allergies. I have perfect drinkable amazing deep-well zero particulate well water. Inside my extra geo dome I have a shower, sink, and toilet. While 40 years old and ugly, they are functional. You are welcome to camp or relax inside the 40 foot dome. Please message with arrival time so we can meet you at the gate.

Harmony Acres Ranch & Petting Farm
5 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · AZHarmony Acres is a small, relaxed family farm in the high desert near the red rocks of Sedona, AZ. We have friendly farm animals that you can meet and our sunsets and star-gazing is spectacular. This is a quiet, rural neighborhood and a peaceful farm that borders the National Forest for easy hiking and few neighbors. The farm animals do cluck, crow, whinny, neigh, baa, bleat, squeal, and oink at various times, including early morning. The nearest services and dining are 5 minutes away. We are about 20-30 minutes to Sedona, the Village of Oak Creek, and the popular red rock hiking sites. There are many wineries right down the road to enjoy. 1 hour to Flagstaff, 2 hours to Phoenix. Be near the sites without being caught up with the tourists and the traffic. Mescal Canyon Retreat
3 sites · Lodging20 acres · AZMiles Away from the Ordinary Mescal Canyon Retreat is an integral part of our 20.5 acre property nestled in a small valley in the High Desert of Central Arizona. We are in the heart of Verde Valley Wine Country, only 18 miles outside of Sedona. The entire property is “off the grid” which means we produce all our electricity from solar energy. All our buildings have been built with natural, green and sustainable materials. We have a large organic garden, a small flock of chicken and a 100-vine vineyard. The property has a collection of buildings that have been hand built by myself and Andrea over the 38 years that we have called this land our home. There is our Main House, the Casita where our caretakers reside, 2 B&B Rooms with the adjacent Canyon Studio, a Hot Tub and Hot Tub Terrace, a Massage Studio, Workshop and Dance Space (Cedar Studio) and my Architecture Office. The property is bordered on 3 sides by National Forest and the remaining side is private land. We are located at the end of the road at the mouth of Mescal Canyon. The accommodations are comprised of 2 private rooms with private bathrooms in a hand built passive solar stone building. The Gold Room has a private bath, king size bed and a private patio. The Sage Room has a private bath, queen size bed and a patio adjacent to the room entry. Both rooms have private entrances and their own separately controlled A/C and heating units. They are separated from the main house by a courtyard. Adjacent to the bedrooms is the Canyon Studio. This space has a full kitchen and eating area, giving you the opportunity to prepare your own meals. As well as providing a common area for relaxing and gathering with one another during your stay. It is complete with a fireplace for the colder times of year. The Canyon Studio is also a hand built, passive solar stone building with an outdoor flagstone terrace and a beautiful view up into Mescal Canyon and Mingus Mountain. Mescal Canyon Retreat is the perfect home away from home for an individual, a couple, or two couples, families and small groups traveling together as our space can host up to 6 people. Up to 2 in each private room and a 5th or 6th person can sleep comfortably on the pull-out couches in the Canyon Studio. The retreat is also a beautiful and private location for a romantic escape, an individual or couple looking to find peace and quiet in nature or for someone needing a getaway online work environment.

Grand Canyon Eco Retreat
6 sites · Lodging, Tents10 acres · Williams, AZLocated on 10 off-grid acres near the Kaibab National Forest, Grand Canyon Glamping invites you to be immersed in the serene landscape of our Northern Arizona property. This is the native land of the Hualapai, Havasupai, Hopi, and Dine people. Awarded "Best Hipcamp in Arizona" by Outside Magazine! On our mostly untouched hillside you can disconnect from the day-to-day hustle, see local wildlife, lie back in a hammock, and have the chance to interact with the land in its unaltered form. Our number one goal is sustainability and we have built everything man-made here with that in mind. This involves using reclaimed lumber as much as possible, not building with plastics or concrete, and collecting all of our power from the sun. We hope to provide the most comfort possible while keeping the land as close to how we found it as possible. Please respect the land while you are here and the land will take care of you! We started in 2019 with a piece of untouched, hilly land, and created a natural sanctuary for mindful retreats. We now have 3 glamping yurts open half the year, a tiny A-frame cabin which is open year round, a yoga deck, a sauna and cold tub, composting bathrooms and open-air hot showers, a picnic area, and more projects in the works. You're welcome to walk around exploring to see what animals you might see! We also offer 4-day yoga retreats which run most weekends from Friday through Monday. Yoga classes, guided hikes, Reiki, massage, or sauna use are available as add-ons for any guests! Glamping is a great option for first-time campers since you don't have to buy or bring any gear! Our yurts and tiny cabin are fully furnished with comfortable beds, solar power, lights, and lots of extra blankets for those chilly mountain nights! Some listings come with a camp stove and cooking gear, or you can ask about adding on Chef Zach's famous vegetarian breakfast!

Kokopelli Gardens
4 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · Tucson, AZWe (Tim and Victoria) moved out to our place in the desert in February 2008 along with our many plants. We have continued to grow our little farm of 4 1/2 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. We have a seasonally heated pool with 3/4 wraparound deck and amazing views of the Tucson Mountains. Our property in a 160-acre neighborhood surrounded by open desert state lands. In our sustainable community/neighborhood are like minded, peaceful people who are as connected to and respectful of the land as we are. We are looking forward to hosting Hipcampers and sharing our lovely slice of heaven.

With its warm, sunny weather, Phoenix is a year-round camping destination. Just outside the city, the vast Arizona desert and mountains extend for miles. Sleep under the stars in the desert, or set up camp by a mountain lake. Whether you’re looking for an in-town RV park or a wilderness escape, Phoenix has you covered.

Camp among the cacti at Lost Dutchman State Park, which provides both RV and tent camping. Here, an extensive trail network takes you into the Tonto National Forest. In the summer, grab a site at Coon Bluff and join the locals in floating the Lower Salt River. For the classic western experience, try horseback riding from your campsite at Usery Mountain Regional Park.

When the temperatures rise, locals head for the hills near Cave Creek. Fish for trout and swim in the river at Box Bar Campground, or stay by the lake at Horseshoe Campground. Feel like roughing it? Head into the Mogollon Rim for quiet backcountry camping and cool weather.

Of course, Phoenix also offers fantastic desert camping. To the south and west, you’ll find RV resorts with hot showers, picnic tables, and full hookups. The Saddle Mountain BLM area offers free dispersed camping and killer views.
