About the Property: We have a one-acre pond that you can bob around in or take out a canoe to paddle in. At night, the pond has a group of frogs that provide a symphony of music with crickets as their background singers. We allow campfires at night - please be fire safe. Fitch Bay is only a 5-minute drive and there are pontoon rides available. We have breathtaking views all over our property and the history of the land is rich. We even have a covered bridge for you to explore. About the Listing: We only allow for one group of Hipcampers at a time, so you are guaranteed a peaceful and private stay. A flush toilet and shower are provided for you during your stay. Potable water, a picnic table, some basic kitchen amenities, and garbage bins are provided. Our birdlife is amazing and is a recognized birding location by provincial authorities, especially for swallows and chimney swifts. A fire pit will be made available, in respect of all fire bans, with firewood available for purchase. In 1910, Agriculture Canada set up a research centre that operated until the 1950's. The property was sold to a family that emigrated to Canada from Europe, to set begin a new life post WW2. In 2015, I purchased the property to return it to its roots - regenerative farming, training, hospitality, poverty relief and healthy living.
