91 Gordons Bridge Road was once part of a pine plantation that had been planted in the late 60's and harvested just prior to the Black Saturday fires. Across the road from the Kinglake National Park, it is surrounded by protected flora and fauna. Victoria's Pink heath, wattles and tea tree provide a pleasant backdrop in season. It is not an uncommon site to see an echidna or two on the property, with black wallabies, kangaroos and wombats often seen grazing on pasture in the evening. The mud turrets are the home of endangered land yabbies and Lyrebirds have been seen in the area. Feral deer have come to inhabit nearby properties and sometimes wonder down the track. Birds watchers will enjoy a variety of bird life that inhabit the area including eagle hawks, fairy wrens, kookaburras, rosellas, parrots and yellow tailed black cockatoos when in season. The area is a popular spot for hikers with the start of the Mountain Creek trail only a few kms down Gordons Bridge Road and serious cyclists train regularly, on Mount Slide, especially on the weekend. We are travelers ourselves and often find it difficult to find peaceful yet secure spots that allow us to explore capital cities and the lovely areas around them. Most cities tend to have caravan parks in the outer suburbs and these can often resemble concrete jungles and be very busy leaving you feel like you have to pay a top premium to be cramped into a space. But what options do you have if you want to explore a vibrant city like Melbourne. See a show, do some shopping, eat out at some of the World's greatest restaurants. Yes, we all should splurge every now and then even when on the road. Our property lies at the very start of the Yarra Valley. It is surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Helens Hill vineyard. In the Summer months you can watch the fruit come onto the vines and in the Winter the views open up to see the kangaroos bouncing though the rows and often silhouetted against the skyline sunsets. We are less than 5 minutes to Lilydale town center. Supermarkets, restaurants, service centers, parts stores, hardware are all on the doorstep, yet looking out over the vines you wouldn't know. Lilydale is 38 kms from Melbourne CBD and there is a train station with ample day parking making it super easy to explore the heart of Melbourne and return 'home' to your country retreat for the night. Myki cards available on site FOC. There is a dump point only 3kms away at a local caravan park for those that need it and at our property water can be available to fill your tanks if needed for a small donation. There is no water or power connection on the sites but you can release your grey water to nourish the grass. Lilydale has a large laundromat available to you. We have a beautiful covered eating area with BBQ available so if the weather turns inclement you can still eat out yet under cover. All campers must be 100% self contained. These are remote sites with no connections and there are no toilet facilities available. We have restricted our area to a maximum of 6 sites to ensure that everyone has their space. Sites are not marked and locations will be on a first booked basis. Owners will direct you to your areas. The area is beautifully flat and does absorb water well but care must be taken to not tear it up after heavy rains. Please seek assistance from owners rather than tearing up the grass as a tractor is available. We can cater for large sized vans and even large motorhomes. Tents are welcome. The property is pet friendly but not fully fenced so your furry friends would need to be on lead. We have our own dogs on the property. Hipcamp being USA based describes the sites and vehicles in USA terms and lengths. There is no way to alter this but please be aware. We cater for Aussie sized caravans and 4wd vehicles. 14 or 15m long all up, no problem. Just in a 4x4 with roof top tent and awning, we have you covered. Cruising the country in a Commodore with a pop top, all good here. Please be aware that we do share a boundary with a working vineyard and they do occasionally have a tractor or crew out in the vines doing some work. There can be a bit of farm machinery work every now and then but this is beyond our control and generally very minimal as vines dont take much looking after unless its harvest night.

We have since kept the campsite maintained and a place for family and friends to stay and escape their busy lives. Most recently, we have opened it up to Hipcamp in late 2020 where we have loved sharing our property and getting to know fellow campers.

Our beautiful piece of land is located amidst the rolling hills of the Strezlecki ranges. The 4 acre paddock is nestled at the front of our 60acre block, which consists of a dense, temperate rainforest, and a mature pine forest. Plenty of wildlife around, bushwalks, beautiful views into the valley, all in walking distance of the secluded campsite! Mount Worth State Park only a 5 minute drive down the hill!

Hobby farm with cattle, chickens and horses. Situated in the middle of the Bunyip State Park completely surrounded by tranquil native bush and wild life. Close to Gembrook and Puffing Billy just a 15 minute drive as is Gumbuya World, Cannibal Creek Winery. Also for the adventurists we have some great bush walking tracks through the State Park with tracks leading to the Four Brothers rock formation and Mount Cannibal. We are on the fringe of West Gippsland with plenty to see and do! We have several types of stay from powered caravan sites to bush camping, un powered site for vans or RVs overlooking the Dam. We have an out door shower for the van sites but no toilet facilities. This is for self contained campers.

1 night at Millers Farm "The Hills are alive"

It was pure joy to wake up on Miller's farm. The rooster heralded dawn - better than any alarm clock. That inspired the chorus of birdsong; kookaburras, cockatoos, wattlebirds, magpies, currawongs. That in turn encouraged the sheep - they started their day bleating for their feathered friends to join them. Farmer Anne let the feathers free and mayhem reigned. Chooks, turkeys and the sole duck running around chatting with excitement at the new day. The goats and alpacas were pretty happy to say hi too. How lucky were we to be part of it. Highly recommend Miller's Camp - check in was easy. Communication great. Anne was lovely. Camp kitchen was a bonus. Great stay. Thankyou.

The campsite was big enough for our group with 4 tents and three cars. Robert was so generous, providing us firewood, power, a floodlight and he let us stay in the shed as it was non-stop rain. He checked in with us frequently to make sure we were okay. Reception is very limited. Two friendly dogs kept us company.

In the middle of the bush, in the middle of suburbia! Close to the beach and shops for supplies if needed. Plenty of space, but flat ground is limited. Heaps of ground wood to keep you warm and big fire drums to burn it in. Hot water was patchy, but grateful for toilets and showers that were there. Comms were great and were made to feel welcome, thankyou.

We shared his space with some other lovely campers, kids loved riding bikes around the property and all the very well behaved dogs had a ball. Thanks Steve for hosting us for a great Melbourne Cup weekend.

Steve was an amazing host! Right from the get go, he was friendly, accommodating and helpful. The property is beautiful, and an added bonus of Milo the dog who loves pats. Steve let us use his firewood, and it's great quality! We had two fired and not once did we smell of smoke. We were able to hook up to water and electricity at the property and there was heaps of space between us and the next campers. Everyone there was so lovely, the kids all ride their bikes around and played games. It's super safe as the gate is always shut, so our minds could relax as our kids and dog were safe. Only bummer was that the pool wasn't working, but there is a cool little indoor swim centre just 300 metres up the road. However, Steve is going to get around to fixing the pool this weekend. Steve was always making sure all campers were happy and was helping out where ever he could, despite having quiet a bad back. Honestly, could not fault our trip at all. Steve is a genuine, kind person and we would love to come back again.

We had a fantastic stay at Bay Park. The site was spacious and peaceful, offering plenty of room to spread out and relax. The facilities were spotless and clearly very new, which made the experience even more comfortable. Our host was friendly and welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised to find power available, even though only a water tap was listed in the description - a great bonus! Another highlight was the generous firewood bundle, which easily lasted us four nights and kept the campfire going strong. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a well-maintained, quiet escape with thoughtful touches.

What a wonderful property. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Beautiful views. Great camp kitchen and shower and toilet. We had such a relaxing break away. So peaceful. We spotted, kangaroo's 🦘 rabbits 🐇 and a very happy Koala 🐨. The sunsets were incredible. We would highly recommend and we will return. 👌👍😁😁🔥🍷🍾🥂

Loved pur stay at the Bay Park and qlukd definitely go back for longer stays as we didnt get to use any of the kids' activities. We love the Bay Park for its easy access to the beach and shops, as well as for the huge sites and the tranquillity despite being very close to the town centre; it beats the foreshore campgrounds around the area anytime of the day! Kids love the communal fireplace have made friends during our brief stay. The shower was on the colder side; it wasnt an issue for such a brief stay, but thought we'd mention it for management review. Loved the personalised welcome where I didnt even have to step out of the car nor wait to be taken to our site.

We had the best time tent camping over the long weekend and will definitely be back in the future! Jana was an incredible host, providing clear instructions, firewood and even towing both our cars out on the last day! If there’s been rain or rain is predicted I would recommend having 4WD access at this site however Jana came to the rescue towing us out and making sure we got home safe! Toilets and a sink to wash your hands were a bonus too and always clean and stocked with toilet paper. Thanks again Jana, your property was beautiful and your hospitality put a cherry on top of a great weekend.
