The bustling tourist town is home to some of Australia's finest wildlife including koala's, kangaroos, kookaburra's and wallabies... all of which are witnessed roaming around the property with undisturbed nonchalance. In addition to this wildlife, the natural landscape and scenery is one to behold, with lush green grass, waterfalls scattered around the area (including Erskine Falls just a 2 minute drive from the property) and the chance to cool off in the ocean with a short 10 minute drive into the township of Lorne. Your passage to Lorne is an extraordinary one to say the least, spoilt for choice with two incredible routes, the first is the unique and famous Great Ocean Road... exhibit beautiful waves, clear blue water and a road fit for a race-car track. The second route to Lorne is via small regional towns inland with endless rolling hills and healthy green landscapes as far as the eye can see and that's all before you hit Otway national park! This secluded property is special because it is situated in a remarkable position with the perks of both country and coastal living, not to mention unrivalled serenity... being 550m above sea level, snow isn't uncommon on the odd day during winter and surf is only 10 minutes away, so truly extraordinary. There are huge Trees approximately 200ft tall that tower over you in an area of the property we refer to as "valley of the kings" and some in excess of 300 years old. Witness small isolated gulleys (if the weather permits) and you're prepared for a little small hike into our wonderland. My family and I are situated in a modest farmhouse on the north side of the property, with our little camping spots for you scattered around the scenic high points. Water is provided on site, leave the area as you found it. Otherwise get your adventure started.

Pollys paddock is named after a beautiful palomino horse named Polly, who lived here as a loved member of our family into her early 40s. Polly's Paddock is a quiet camping area on the Mornington Peninsula. We are a couples only camping (adults only), no children, for safety reasons with a dam close by. Only 15 minutes from Mount Martha village and Mornington, restaurants, amazing wineries, weekend markets, cafes and golf courses. We are 10 minutes from swimming beaches and 20 minutes from surf beaches. This is a 5.5 acre block, consisting of the host’s residence, garden and parkland. Polly's Paddock is half of the block. We offer 2 flat caravan sites, both with drinking water , 1 with limited power , the other no power. There is a site with a glamping tent set in the garden. The 6 metre round tent sleeps 2, with a queen size bed, linen provided. It is carpeted, has a fridge, kettle and BBQ. Just pack your toothbrush, clothes, food and drinks. All 3 sites have the use of a shared composting toilet. For a refreshing experience there is an outdoor, open air hot shower overlooking the dam. Close by is a spacious shelter/shed with tables, chairs and a rustic kitchen area with sink and heater. Well behaved dogs are accepted on the caravan sites, but we ask that you please discuss with us prior to booking. Dogs are to be kept on a lead at all times, wild ducks and the properties own poultry wander here. No dogs on the glamping tent site. Campfires are allowed during the cooler months, left to the hosts discretion for safety reasons. We supply a fire pit. BYO wood. No fires apart from in the fire pits provided are to be lit. Fires are to be extinguished before going to bed or leaving. Horse yards available for those who are travelling with your equine friends It’s truly a gorgeous place here, people have commented many times that it’s so peaceful, and has a healing vibe about it. Stunning views and frolicking horses, lots of bird life and kangaroos We are planning a few mini cabins for the future too! Excellent Trout Fishing in large dams on property. Rainbow and Brown trout stocked in both dams. Good sized fish. Old , Rustic Bush Hut at main campsite which has verandah, wooden floor, and can be used for sleeping in or as general purpose area. Excellent yabby dams on property for the kids and adults who want to do some yabbying. Also eels in a another couple of dams on property, so it certainly has something for all anglers. 550 acre property which has 3 different seasonal creeks flowing through it. Six excellent hideaway Camping sites to choose from. Some close to the water. Large sites which can handle 40 campers per site. Good areas of bushland and also a working sheep farm. Very private areas for camping. Campfires available but only in months when fire restrictions are not in force. A wide range of birdlife and duck life, wildlife including kangaroos, possums, echidnas. In wet weather you may need a 4 wheel drive vechile to access some of the sites. You will need to bring all your camping gear as these are tent and vechile sites only. We dont have any huts at this stage. 30 minute drive to Ballarat, 45 Min Geelong, 2 minutes drive to the village of Elaine and The Farmgate Shop which is open 7 days a week with a full range of all groceries, bbq needs, drinks, snacks, etc. 5 minutes to dollys creek, 5 minutes to Mt Doran/Lal Lal, 10 minutes to Meredith. Its a hidden gem. We are happy to take your booking. Sorry strictly no dogs allowed.

Green grassy campsites on an Old Victorian Dairy Country Farm House site. The property is located in the Otways, the rail trail is close by for bush walks, wildlife watching or mountain biking. Two micro breweries are within 20 minutes drive (Prickly Moses, Forest Brewery). Otway Fly Treetop Adventures and waterfalls just 30 minutes away. There are many waterfalls within easy driving distance. Apollo Bay is just an hours drive. Campfire and sitting area available for guests use, public toilets that are serviced three times a week and kept hygienically clean, located just 1000mtrs down the road. If you like a hit of tennis, there are two courts near the toilets and a community centre next to the CFA. This is all about being off the grid, soaking up nature and what this region has to offer. You'll spot an abundance of native wildlife on the property - we have koalas in the trees, platypus in the dam, echidnas burrowing in the garden beds, with kangaroos and wallabies passing through the property. There is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy complete privacy, if required a 6 man tent can be supplied and erected for you.

Green, tranquil and picturesque. Kangaroos, wallabies, kookaburras and koalas often emerge from the rainforest of the Great Otway National Park near the campsites. You can swim or kayak in the unfenced dam, which is fed by a mountain spring on our 200-acre property. But please be aware that the unfenced dam is a drowning hazard for children, so we don't accept bookings that include children under 10 for public liability reasons. We've limited the number of campsites to 2 in an area that could host 200! If you would like even more seclusion, then you are welcome to book both sites so you can talk, drink and play music as late as you like, without having to consider another group of campers. This is a totally different holiday experience to a crowded beach resort, caravan park or public camping ground. It's like a hideaway in the hills. Each site has a flushing toilet (septic system). Campfires are permitted outside the district-wide fire restrictions that apply from late November to early May. Fortunately, gas or electric barbecues and stoves are permitted all year round, unless specific days are declared as total fire ban days. Please note that wood-fired barbecues or burners, even if enclosed and fitted with a chimney, still present a spark/ember hazard so are not permitted across summer. When campfires are permitted, guests can cut and gather their own wood from deadwood lying near the campsites or bring their own. Or you can buy sacks of cut and split firewood from your hosts on request. BYO newspaper and matches. Camping trailers and campervans work better on the sites than large caravans or motorhomes, especially after heavy rain. The sites are on slight inclines, so levellers can be useful. No pets please due to livestock in nearby paddocks. No parties please.

Lovely quiet spot, secluded but with a dam, and a winter running creek. Sound of sheep and magpies and little else. Mark let us use the tin shed and we slept in there instead of erecting a tent. Plenty of wood around for a fire. Not too distant from Meredith and the Brisbane Ranges.

10/10! We have been on the road for a few weeks now and this has been our favourite place to stay. Your own private sanctuary with beautiful gardens and wildlife. Amanda showed us around when we arrived and was a great host. Outdoor shower was amazing and spotless bathroom. The sheltered kitchen area was super cute with everything we needed. Couldn’t recommend enough!

We had such a lovely time at Euan’s property. He was so generous and helpful before and throughout our entire stay. Although Kenny the Koala’s growls startled us at first we quickly became familiar with him and his noises, he even made a couple of appearances on the ground and said hi. Would absolutely recommend this stay, particularly thanks to Euan’s hospitality

Now Site 2 tucked away down the bottom of the property, plenty of room and privacy, close to the creek and overflow (very small) dam. Suited to those with 4x4 and just want piece and quite. Wel suited to familes, who like added privacy and extra shade.

Euan's property is a perfect spot to get in touch with nature. We saw kangaroos as dusk fell. We also had an encounter with the local Koala (Kenny) who lives in the gumtrees next to the site. Euan was super friendly and gave us all the lowdown on places to visit and experience on our stay. Highly recommend this camping spot 👌

The site was very clean and flat and despite a lot of wet weather was not muddy under foot. There are horses on the site but did not disturb us, and cows next door who were curious and quite tame. Rylana checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything and was very hospitable. There were a few people camping but we were all spread out across the property such that we hardly saw or heard anyone else.

QD Equestrian Centre offers a fantastic home-style camping experience just outside Ballarat. We spent two wonderful nights enjoying comforts like flush toilets, showers, and a mini bar kitchen. A major plus was the availability of power points, making it easy to camper recharge our phones and lights. The site is a nature lover's paradise, where we had unforgettable encounters with wild kangaroos and close contact with the horses. Its location is ideal—only a 20-minute drive to Ballarat for supplies and a short trip to the beautiful Lal Lal Falls for hiking. The hosts, Rylana and her family, were friendly, helpful, and cheerful. We truly enjoyed our conversations with them. We can't wait to visit this little piece of paradise again!I will give them Five star ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 😊

Amazing property and hosts! They have done such a good job converting their gigantic backyard into a cozy place to stay. The outdoor shower was a dream - better hot water than we had at our Airbnb the night before! We brought our own cooking gear and were able to eat dinner in the camp kitchen area. The location is also perfect, very close to wineries and the rest of Mornington. Highly recommend!

Mark's land was exactly what we needed to celebrate my dad's birthday. Mark was courteous enough to warn us about the wind the morning of our arrival. Regardless, the wind didn't stop us from making the most of his land which only got better the following days as the sun came out and the wind settled. No fish this time but we'll be sure to come back and try again. Thanks Mark for a great stay.

It is a beautiful property, the kids caught a massive trout. Unfortunately the winter weather was not on our side and it rained most of the weekend. We will definitely come back for another round during the warmer months.
