Opening during Protea season for pick your own flowers and sheep feeding. Made up of 15 acres of working land and 35 acres of bush land. We have a 2-acre orchard with seasonal fruit available to be picked. ( Feb / March) The farm has over 100 king protea bushes and many other varieties of protea. Seasonal pick your own flowers too. ( Aug - Jan) Backing onto the national park and walking tracks. Jehoshaphat Gully, Shelley Harris Track, Mt Jerusalem Track. Walking distance to Kinglake historic walk, Cookson Hill Track, Mt Everard Track, Bollygum Park. Visit Mason Falls Waterfall, 12-minute drive to Kinglake West. We have 2 dogs, 6 pet sheep and 4 lambs, 2 blue tongue lizards The farming area is completely fenced in, this is to keep the deer out, but you can venture out onto the property bush land with the correct map and navigation equipment. Our walk the neighboring farm (105 acres) Eagles, cockatoos, black cockatoos, kookaburras, magpies, rosellas, king parrots, Gang-gang cockatoo, honey eaters can be spotted most days and lyrebirds if you’re keen to go looking. Small playground with swings, slide, monkey bars and sandpit. Taxi service - The Graceful-Goat to get you around to the local eats and wineries. The Kinglake market is on the 4th Sunday of each month 10-2pm - Except December which is the Sunday before Christmas - twilight 2-7pm - No market in January. The St. Andrews market is every Saturday, 9am to 1pm just 12 minutes down the mountain. A beautiful and peaceful spot. Susan was a fantastic host, thoughtful, kind and responsive. I was even gifted some homemade chilli jam and eggs. I spent 2 nights here just cooking on the fire, watching the wildlife by the pond including a wide variety of bird life and a fox. The set up has everything you need- camp toilet, mud kitchen, table and chairs and even a hut to have shelter in the rain. Plenty of fallen kindling to be collected if needed. Will return to explore some of the walking tracks. So nice to be able to have a solo getaway and not have to share the campsite with anyone, but feel totally safe. Just a short drive into town. Highly recommend.

1 night at Millers Farm "The Hills are alive"
It was pure joy to wake up on Miller's farm. The rooster heralded dawn - better than any alarm clock. That inspired the chorus of birdsong; kookaburras, cockatoos, wattlebirds, magpies, currawongs. That in turn encouraged the sheep - they started their day bleating for their feathered friends to join them. Farmer Anne let the feathers free and mayhem reigned. Chooks, turkeys and the sole duck running around chatting with excitement at the new day. The goats and alpacas were pretty happy to say hi too. How lucky were we to be part of it. Highly recommend Miller's Camp - check in was easy. Communication great. Anne was lovely. Camp kitchen was a bonus. Great stay. Thankyou.

Lovely spot, easy to find and plenty of room for our 5 caravans, 2 of which were 20ft in length. Peaceful and large grassy area. Tamara came to say hello to our group & talked about the local area & events. She was very welcoming. So nice to see the sheep & goats grazing in the paddocks. We had a choice of two large fire pits. Would definitely camp here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Kiernan Park Equestrian Centre. Being surrounded by such beautiful countryside, horses, roos and rabbits, it was beyond relaxing. We had a couple of great nights around the fire too. Jenny was the perfect host, taking care of us and chatting whilst our doggos played. Jenny's doggo, Whiz, is gorgeous. We'll definitely be back when we're exploring the Yarra Valley again. Highly recommended.

I had such a great stay here! The campsite was peaceful, clean, and surrounded by amazing views. Tamara was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to help me out. I couldn’t get up the mountain with my bike, so she kindly gave me a lift. Truly appreciated that extra bit of kindness. If you are thinking of doing a bike ride to this place beware there is a very steep hill you need to get through! Everything about the spot felt relaxed and welcoming, and you can tell it’s cared for by someone who really loves the place. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet getaway with a personal touch!

The day we rocked up, we were able to park in a spot sheltered from wind (super gusty day). From there, Tamara was a delight to talk to and our boys enjoyed playing with her son too. Unfortunately, our car ran off road one of the nights which had left us stranded without a car while it is in the shop getting fixed. Tamara was gracious and let us stay for as long as we needed to get back on track. On top of hospitality, Tamara had also helped us get in contact with someone to fix our car and made sure we were looked after well. The whole family is gorgeous and I sincerely hope they do well in life. The farm has goats and sheep which our kids enjoyed feeding and the proteas on the property are going strong and beautifully. Definitely recommend this place if you’re travelling thru the Yarra region.
