It was a pleasure meeting Allan and Heath. The site is not a refined boring camping site, but offers nature in the raw and an opportunity to see native animals.? Allan and Heath are fine hosts.

A very beautiful place with an incredible view of the river, very peaceful except for the noise of cars on the road at night. However, I really liked this place for camping.

Warm welcome on arrival. Very helpful in getting us settled in. Excellent communication and very easy to find. Beautiful location with stunning views. Lovely walks. Other guests were very friendly. Happy vibes all round. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend.

My partner and I had a fabulous time at Koala Retreat, Heath and Allan are fantastic hosts who showed us more hospitality than we received anywhere in Australia. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, with stunning views and wildlife. We were lucky enough to see a Koala, as well as tons of kangaroos and birds. Once the work they have planned is finished, I think it will be one of the best campgrounds in aus! Thanks again guys! Bryan and Elsa

We loved our two night stay at Koala Coast Retreat. The views were amazing across to the ocean, we had a really private spot all to ourselves which was amazing, but there are more social spots if you prefer. Heath was an amazing host and Daisy the dog was adorable. Directions were super easy .. and its just a 2 minute drive down the road from Fleurieu Gin which was great to go to for lunch ... we were lucky we had perfect weather. Definitely be back again. Thanks Allan and Heath.

Had a perfect weekend. The location is so handy. Close to wineries and lots of walking trails. The views on the property were spectacular. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were happy. Looking forward to our next visit.

Allan and his son's warm friendly welcome didn't stop there. They made sure every day that we're happy campers. The view was to die for. We had a truly relaxing weekend. The donkeys and horses are so cute. Saw a few kangaroos as well. And Daisy (Allan's) dog was just as adorable. We'll be back!

Koala Coast Retreat Farm is the place to stay on the south West Fleurieu region if you want peace and quiet in a great bush setting. Allan & his son Heath went above and beyond to make our 3 day stay as enjoyable as possible and we'll be back. You can feed donkeys and horse, see koalas and kangaroos in their natural setting. Enjoy amazing scenery. Visit a brewery or gin distillery, try culinary delights of the region all in close proximity.

Hi. Loved staying at the koala coast retreat. Was so peaceful. The father and son team were great and being a local, it was perfect for a getaway.

It’s a great little spot and all of the sites have their own charm. Host was great throughout the stay.
Sites are level and there are some great views of the water. There are several walks you can do on the property including some friendly donkeys.

I had a wonderful night at the campsite with my car. I was warmly welcomed by Evan, who recommended a short walk down by the water and I’m so glad I followed his advice!
I got to enjoy a magical sunset, and being surrounded by nature was such a special experience.
The campground is really well-equipped.
The bathroom and shower facilities are incredibly clean and look brand new. There's also a small cabin where you can eat ,with everything you might need for camping.
Highly recommend this place!!

Okay so the park is right on a highway next to a very busy petrol station that trucks use and park at. There was also building works going on all day during my stay. That's the downside if you let it be.
The upside is the clean amenities, well kept areas, close to areas of interest, wood in the communal firepit area, right on the Murray and yippee for me, a lovely grassed area for my tent. First decent tent spot I've had in two months of travel. The size of the bays are generous too which means off course that you are not on top of one another. Something the big caravan parks tend to do all too often. I would happily camp there again if in the area.

Lovely grounds. Great staff.
Large caravan sites. Bathrooms very clean, with little extras like atomisers, mirrors and plants.
Evan full of knowledge of the towns, where to eat etc.
Only one night but would come again. Felt very comfortable
