The Riverland is an amazing place to visit, full of so many surprises! The variety in the landscape, from harsh limestone plains to beautiful rolling sandhills, to the beauty of the Murry River. There is so much wildlife to see especially when it comes to bird watching! And the area is full of history! In every town you will discover many historical facts and buildings, machines etc. We even have histroy right here on our property!-ruins of an old school. Oh, do I hear you love taking your horse out for trail rides? Well, here's the perfect place for that too! At the campsite - approx 2km away from the farmhouse - you have the privilege of being surrounded by natural scrublands and habitats on the plains. See our mallee, acacias, sugar woods, grevilleas, honeyeaters, wrens, finches, kangaroos, emus & more. And don't forget the stars!! Our night sky is amazing due to very low light interference. At times, wake up to the sounds of sheep bleating and drinking from the trough a few hundred meters away. We have a central campfire area for each site and a double sink connected to river water for washing up and a large prep area on sites 1 & 2. Also on site 1 & 2, just a short walk from the camp fire is an outdoor flushing toilet with hand basin-a luxury for a station stay! Often there are things happening on the farm. Feel welcome to ask if there is anything you can be a part of to add to your holiday experience! What a wonderful place to stay during our (all too short!) visit to the Barossa. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed. Belinda was absolutely delightful — friendly, helpful, and full of great local tips for places to visit, eat, and explore. The accommodation itself was peaceful and beautifully set among the vines — we had the whole vineyard to ourselves, which made it feel extra special. 😀 Sitting outside with a glass of wine, surrounded by the scenery, was such a highlight. We couldn’t resist purchasing some of the vineyard’s wine to enjoy once we’re back home — a lovely reminder of our stay. Highly recommend The Cutting , so much better than staying in a caravan park! Cheers! 🍷🍇

For vineyard camping, it really doesn’t get any better. The site was completely private, except for the occasional welcome visit from a kangaroo or two, with 360-degree vineyard views and a stunning drive in. Daniel, the host, was incredibly helpful, offering great local recommendations and impeccable communication. 10/10 recommend 🍷

My family and I absolutely loved camping out in our caravan right next to the water and waking up to the sunrise each morning reflecting off of the cliff faces of the Murray River. Our host Susan was lovely and very informative of the area amd even let us borrow a small row boat to explore the lagoon with.

There was a large variety of bird life around. It was a lovely secluded spot, our dogs enjoyed paddling in the water and running around playing. Caught some fish and fed them to the pelicans. Very relaxing, look forward to visiting again in the future

Gooses Pond is a lovely peaceful camp in a large paddock with spectacular views. Sites were well spaced, so quite private. There was a flushing toilet as well as an undercover area to use. Firewood is available to purchase and host Billie-Jo was so helpful and friendly.

Minutes from Tanunda, The Cutting hosts guided us to the campsite right at the rear of the property - perched right next to the vines in a totally private clearing . Such a beautiful outlook over the vineyard at sunset by the fire. Doesn’t get better than this.

My wife and I came for a night away and were amazed by the huge open space! Was great to be able to see the hills, watch the helicopters come and go and even say hello to the cows. Great to see there was a functional toilet to use as we were camping in our swag (I would recommend maybe a light for inside the toilets when it’s dark). Great little shelter provided that we were lucky enough to use for the night to keep out the sun, as we just had our swag set up. Pet friendly was a bonus for us- the dog loved being able to adventure around! We’ll be back for sure, this place is a hidden gem. Thanks Billie-Jo!
