Waterfront property on pristine Baffle Creek. The main house sleeps 8 and is fully self contained and self catering, then there is a separate cabin that sleeps 4 also self contained. We rent this out as one complete package (we do not separate the cabin and the house).

The cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay with a full kitchen and bathroom available.

Direct access to a nice sandy beach you can safely moor your boat right in front of the house or just enjoy the peace and quiet and admire the scenery.

Baffle creek is renowned for fishing, crabbing and prawning all year round. Explore the miles of estuary systems or about 10 minutes by boat to the mouth where you can access inshore reefs or only 18km to world renowned dive site the Karma.

Welcome to my Hipcamp! 

Beautiful camping area situated next to the Elliott River. 10 minutes drive to Coonarr Beach, Coonarr Wildflowers and Kinkuna National Park. Amazing Stargazing!

Just a kilometer up the road from our site, you'll find a charming Dog Motel.

Please keep in mind that the noise from the dog motel isn't a nightly occurrence, making it difficult to predict specific nights when it may be more active. However I've noticed that campers in caravans generally have a more insulated experience and are less affected by any early morning barking.

If you prefer a quieter spot, I make it a priority to assign campers the farthest firepit, Camp 4, nestled deep in the bush, providing you with a peaceful retreat away from any noise.

Additionally I'm delighted to offer electricity to all camps, ensuring your comfort and convenience during your stay. Whether you choose a campsite closer to the amenities or opt for the tranquility of Camp 4, rest assured that you'll have access to electricity.

While the dog motel may occasionally add a touch of canine charm to the soundscape, I'm confident that the overall experience at my Hipcamp will be an enjoyable one.

Come join me amidst the beauty of nature and let the peaceful surroundings outweigh any sporadic noises from our furry friends.  Campsites can be 30m from amenities (toilet & shower). Dog friendly. Drinking water & camp kitchen available.

Mugul Mountain Wilderness Retreat

Mugul Mountain Retreat is a 300 acre property adjacent to Mt Colosseum (or Mugul as it is called by the local Indigenous peoples). The property borders the national park of Mt Colosseum. Mugul is a site of significance for the Gooreng Gooreng people.

Our property is home to a multitude of pretty face wallabies, kangaroos, bandicoots, goannas, possums and over 60 species of birds. A serene and peaceful place Mugul is where you can experience the energy of a sacred Indigenous site.

Accessible for all types of vehicles. Dog friendly. The property offers basic camping without facilities. You will need to be self-sufficient. We have a bush toilet but no showers. At the house there are toilets and showers available for an extra charge. Please see us if required. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. You can purchase firewood from us (see Extras).  We prefer you to bring your own water, emergency supply can be arranged (we are on tank water). Patchy mobile reception.

Ahead of Time - Green Acres Camping

We have a private 20 acres of shady land not far from the pretty town of Childers. 

Our property features a spring-fed creek with fish. Bring your fishing rods as there is silver perch and perch for catch and release fishing only. The rest of the property features open grasslands and bush.

We are pet friendly, unpowered sites with access to a flushing portaloo toilet. Campers must have everything they need and leave no trace.

Just 20 minutes inland from the beautiful coastal beaches.

With flat and comfortable sites, this is a haven for anyone venturing to the Fraser Coast.

It's a 2 minute drive into town for supplies and where you can enjoy a range of pubs, cafes and shops.

Lots of things to do and see in the area including a bird park and the Snakes Down Under display.

Platypus Park Riverside Retreat

Situated on the beautiful banks of the Burnett River just out of Bundaberg. We have powered and unpowered sites overlooking this pristine river and creekside area. We have our own private boat ramp and pontoon that our guests are welcome to use and toilet and shower facilities on site. Our Creekside area is quite and secluded looking down onto the creek with an abundant supply of wildlife. There is a transportable toilet and shower for your use. Creekside is a 10 minute easy walk to riverside or a minute drive.

Enjoy the abundant wildlife whilst canoeing up our subtropical creek or just sit and relax and take in the view of the passing waterskiers.

Platypus Park Riverside is a unique hidden gem with bushwalking, a hit of golf, volleyball, swimming and fishing. You won't be disappointed with your stay. Come check us out.
