Riverview is just a five-minute drive from the famous Bega Cheese Factory located in Bega, NSW. Our 33-acre property has 360-degree views of mountains, rolling farmland, and countryside and it overlooks the beautiful Bega River. Tathra is just 15 minutes drive away, with Merimbula around 25 minutes, Bermagui 45 minutes, and Eden 35 minutes. All of these towns have beautiful beaches, fishing, boating, whale-watching tours, and much more. Pack a picnic and walk to the river just down the hill from your camp site. The Bega river is clean fresh water and is well worth a visit on a hot day to cool off. Your hosts can show you a secluded area of the river that you can access easily. The whole area has an array of beautiful spots to explore both on the property and along the riverside. Jackie is always willing to give fresh produce from her veggie garden during your stay just to make you feel welcome. There are horses you can pat and a few sheep that are very friendly and love to be given bread. The historic Bega Cheese Factory and Heritage Center is just a couple of minutes away. The main shopping center and mall in town is just a five-minute drive. On our property, we can offer you a relaxing quiet stay in a secure area. Pitch your tent or park your campertrailer in the native bushland with the pristine Numeralla River as your boundary fence. This 3000 acre property is located close to Nimmitabel and not too far from Cooma. Try your hand at trout fishing and enjoy endless tracks for bushwalking and observing the native wildlife. Wander along the river banks just enjoying the serenity of the location and witness platypus feeding, water dragons sunning themselves and the brown trout fly feeding and one of Australia's beautiful but lesser known native rodents, Rakali (intelligent semi aquatic water rat who's scientific name translates to golden -bellied water mouse). One of Australia's two aquatic mammals, the platypus being the other. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. IF NO CHEMICAL TOILET, DIG A HOLE AT LEAST 30CM DEEP . There is access to a drinking water supply (mountain river water), or you can bring your own water. After heavy rain you may need to boil/filter for drinking. You will need a 4WD to access the campsites closest to the river as there is a shallow gully crossing. Camper trailer or off road pop up campers will be able to negoiate the tracks. Good clearance necessary to pass over one gully crossing. Dogs are welcome, however, we do run sheep in an adjoining paddock so they need to stay close to your camp. Kids aged 16 and under camp for free. There is a dedicated campfire pit so you can stay warm on chilly evenings (please check to see if there is a seasonal fire ban in place). Fire wood can be provided - chainsaws are permitted but be mindful of structures that are animal habitats. Your family may enjoy taking a bushwalk that takes you around the 300 acre native bush paddock. Climb up and get a birds eye view down into a gully of magnificent granite boulders above where the river disappears deep below. Identify the unique sounds of the native birds and follow the tracks wildlife create. We are centrally located - just 1.5 hours from the snowfields and from the best beaches of the NSW coastline. There is a small general store, 2 takeaway cafes and a pub at Nimmitabel, or you can get all supplies in Cooma 25 mins away. Please note that we have very limited reception service for mobiles, so let's communicate via messages before you arrive in our area. I can provide a camping setup if you need extra bedding or you don't have any camping equipment or tent.

Spectacular views to the east including Wadbilliga peak and razorback range. Explore Tuross falls and the cascades nearby. Fly fish Kybeyan river. This special place offers a true farm stay experience on a full working farm. All guests have the opportunity to tag along with the farmer/host for bottle-feeding baby animals, milking a goat or cow, hand-feeding the farm animals, taking selfies with the alpacas, goats, miniature horses, etc. Please note that some animal interactions are seasonal. Otherwise, kick back and relax by the dam with a good book. There are comfortable accommodation options provided from Family Safari Tents sleeping 5-6 guests, and options for self-contained campers. Have a walk around the property to enjoy the amazing views of the mountains and valley. Being a light pollution-free area and an altitude of 1,200, on a clear night the bright twinkling stars are incredible, a delight for stargazers and astrophotographers.

Terrific spot to camp. Jackie met us on arrival with a basket of goodies from her garden which was truly lovely. The views from the camping spot a beautiful. We happily used one of the fire pits to toast marshmallows and watch the skies.

This place is so beautiful and peaceful and Jackie and Chris are such wonderful hosts. We were greeted with some home grown fruit and vegetables, were told that if we needed anything or had any problems or queries to text her and we were given complete privacy yet when we saw her and approached her she was more than happy to sit and chat with us. Very genuine people. Totally recommend this place for a great stay. The scenery and the animals, especially Pip the dog are beautiful. Thanks for a great stay

We only stayed one night, but the campsite was peacefully tucked away on a quiet country farm. Most of the sites were set along the river and had a lovely atmosphere. There was a good sense of privacy between sites, which is rare at many campgrounds these days. We’d definitely recommend this spot—and our puppy had a great time too!

Great place to camp. We made it in with a caravan and a camper trailer. Hosts were friendly and helpful. We missed the turn off the first go around and ended up at the farm main gate. Would recommend Liz puts out a sign that says Hip Camp Kybeyan Retreat just so it's easier for people to see as they are driving along. Country is beautiful and the river is lovely ! Would recommend!

We had a lovely night camped by the river, very peaceful and quiet and well spaced from other campers in your own private clearings. Liz was amazing at getting in touch and checking in about our vehicle (access was fine for our 2WD due to dry conditions) and then checking in with us later upon arrival to see how we went getting in. We had a lovely long walk the next morning by the river among the rock wallabies , and swam in the deeper sections of the river with our dog (dog camping paradise). We will definitely come back, we had a blast! The only thing was perhaps clearer signage needed pointing to the property from the road (Google maps takes you to the next gate up the road), and then signage on the gate to let you know you're in the right place (it says Eblana). Thanks Liz!

We spent a night at Kybeyan Retreat we had the place to yourselves. Beautiful property with plenty of places to camp by the river. River was not as full as I think it could be but absolutely beautiful. Our Labrador was constantly in the water and enjoyed being off the lead. We highly recommend and will stay again.

What a beautiful off grid spot! Definitely recommend a 4x4 to get to the hot spots next to the swimming holes. A little bit confusing to get there but it was fine, note that the main gate is called Eblana, so make sure you find that! No reception so make sure you know where you are and that you have all the things! We saw a platypus in the river we camped next to, it was surreal. Thanks so much Liz, an unreal magical location. We did so much exploring by walking and in the troopy!! It was incredible

Lovely camp at the top of a hill with glorious views! You are greeted by Jackie and Tip to welcome you and show you around. Very quiet, with a little fireplace ready to go and use (BYO wood & only when not a TFB) Jackie has a great little swimming spot just down the hill to cool off in too! So nice to see someone not trying to charge extortionate fees to camp on their land! Will stay again if in the area for sure! Thanks Jackie and Tip ◡̈

Jackie is such a friendly host. She will help with anything you ask. She will also show you "The Secret Swimming Hole" to EVERYBODY!!!! It's a bit of a running joke with her lol. We have been there twice now and will more than likely end up there again one day. It's a beautiful camp with amazing views. Do yourself a favour and go visit ✨️
