When exploring the region, don't forget to stop in at the famous township of Mogo. This gorgeous village offers a quirky mix of art, crafts, homewares and collectibles, as well as fantastic food, clothing, specialty items, and well known favourites like Mogo Fudge or some marshmallows to toast on the campfire. The campsite is nestled amongst the tall gum trees and overlooks the dam. There is a firepit with a hot plate for delicious camp out dinners and firewood is available for sale under Extras. There is access to a toilet and rubbish facilities, but you will need to bring your own drinking water and shower. We can cater for all types of camping vehicles and tents, including 2WD. Based near Mount Utopia, Nerrigundah, we fell in love with our little sanctuary in 2020. There are two families Dwayne, Michelle, Robbie and Sharon and their four boys Blake, Taeg, Cooper and Flynn. Campers at heart, we started spending nearly every second weekend in our campers and this lead to many a night discussing what else we could do to make this property a place for others to use. It is a work in progress and there is plenty more to come, currently there is a ablution block that is up near the old house site, we decided it was best to have the camp area closer to the river. We have since added a camp kitchen, large undercover area and two cabins (for our own use at this stage). Enjoy direct access to the river plus more swimming areas on the property. Campfires are permitted. There is some firewood on the property but probably best to bring some of your own. There is Telstra service enabling mobile coverage if needed especially for emergencies. 4WDs are recommended to access this campsite. During the rain we recommend 4WD only. In dry you can access with an all wheel drive. Please message us if you're unsure about weather conditions and your vehicle. Our little piece of Utopia is still a work in progress but is picturesque as well as peaceful. Your furry family member is welcome to join you. We hope you enjoy our little Utopia.

When you stay at Sunset Point you have lake frontage onto Borang Lake ( 4km from Potato Point), which connects directly with the Tuross lakes. You are able to launch your own tinny at our private jetty. A firepit is provided and you can collect your own wood yourself, or purchase a $25 a wheel barrow load with your booking. Wildlife is plentiful here, so please respect the environment and clean up after your self. There are some amazing local beaches only minutes to Potato Point or down the back track 10 minute drive or, ride your pushie or walk (its a bit of a walk) - straight to Blackfellows Point at Potato Point. There are lovely walking tracks around the property and lots of fishing, kayaking, SUP or pop your Tinnie in and fish till sunset or just plain lazy days. Watch the sunrise or walk to the other side of the property and watch the sunset. Watching the moon rise on the lake is quite beautiful. Launch your tinny and go fishing or simply kayak or lazy around. The site is dog friendly, but your pet must be well behaved and not aggressive as there may be other campers and pets on the property during your stay and a Sunset Point Camp Cat. You may not be right next to each other but please respect other guests, with noise. Just 10 minutes from the charming village of Bodalla, which was founded on the back of dairy farming and cheese production back in the 1860s. 30 minutes drive either way to the hubs of Narooma and Moruya. No barking dogs and no loud music or parties. This is a peaceful getaway. Short car trip to famous beaches where you leave nothing but footprints. It's our secret!

After heavy rain you may need to boil/filter for drinking. You will need a 4WD to access the campsites closest to the river as there is a shallow gully crossing. Camper trailer or off road pop up campers will be able to negoiate the tracks. Good clearance necessary to pass over one gully crossing. Dogs are welcome, however, we do run sheep in an adjoining paddock so they need to stay close to your camp. Kids aged 16 and under camp for free. There is a dedicated campfire pit so you can stay warm on chilly evenings (please check to see if there is a seasonal fire ban in place). Fire wood can be provided - chainsaws are permitted but be mindful of structures that are animal habitats. Your family may enjoy taking a bushwalk that takes you around the 300 acre native bush paddock. Climb up and get a birds eye view down into a gully of magnificent granite boulders above where the river disappears deep below. Identify the unique sounds of the native birds and follow the tracks wildlife create. We are centrally located - just 1.5 hours from the snowfields and from the best beaches of the NSW coastline. There is a small general store, 2 takeaway cafes and a pub at Nimmitabel, or you can get all supplies in Cooma 25 mins away. Please note that we have very limited reception service for mobiles, so let's communicate via messages before you arrive in our area. SITE AMENITIES - The camp is best suited to adventurous campers with swags, tents, rooftops, light camping trailers and small popup caravans. There is a flushing toilet, a hot shower, running (dam) water, and firepits but no electricity or refrigeration. We have fire pits available for guests use, please ensure there are no restrictions in place before lighting a campfire in the designated firepit. Firewood is available at additional cost. 3. ROAD ACCESS - The last couple of km of dirt track are undulating and dusty, but perfectly fine for all vehicles in dry conditions. The property is coastal farmland, half wooded, half cleared, distant neighbours and nearby National Parks. Great surf beaches including Bunga Point, Cuttagee and Aragunnu all close by. There are numerous coastal lagoons, Biamanga and Mimosa Rocks National parks. We have a large dam at the entrance to the property. The township of Bermagui is 15 minutes drive north; Tathra and Bega are 30mins south. There is an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, goannas, echidnas, eagles, wombats. You can enjoy whale watching, diving, swimming, surfing and walking coastal tracks from here. As well there is an abundance of great food available with Wapengo Organic oysters just down the road, Mimosa Winery close by and numerous cafes, pub, restaurants, sourdough bakery, woolworths, bottleshop etc in the gorgeous coastal village of Bermagui. Mobile phone and internet coverage is good with Telstra, not as reliable if you are with Optus. Lovely place to switch off from your device if possible though. If you require firewood please select this in the extras or leave $20 cash per nights supply as we do have to chop, split and deliver this to the site. There is plenty of kindling to scavenge on site. If you would like to have friends stay with you there is additional space we allow for campers, otherwise we do not allow campers without the Surf Shack booking. Let's say you're travelling between Bega and Cooma or Bombala, it's getting late and you need a spot to spend the night which is safe and you can plug into power. Orange Grove was established in 1856 on the banks of the cylde River Nelligen. It is set on 40 acres nestled on the edge of the Village of Nelligen, (15min Walk to its cafe and pub) and 8km west of Batemans Bay (10mindrive). Our camp grounds are set up on the Clyde's banks, all able to support enough area and access for 2wd, 4wd, RV and Car Camper set ups. Orange Grove, has a small basic boat ramp (there are public ramps 2mins down the road). With a beach and pontoon, you are able to leave your boat in the river for the duration of your stay. Batemans Bay is 15min down stream, an easy ride to pick up items not found in Nelligen. Bunga Surf Shack is located 20m from our house we are completing building in mid-2025. It is private from our house with a seperate driveway. The property is coastal farmland, half wooded, half cleared, distant neighbours and nearby National Parks. Great surf beaches including Bunga Point, Cuttagee and Aragunnu all close by. There are numerous coastal lagoons, Biamanga and Mimosa Rocks National parks. We have a large dam at the entrance to the property. The township of Bermagui is 15 minutes drive north; Tathra and Bega are 30mins south. There is an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, goannas, echidnas, eagles, wombats. You can enjoy whale watching, diving, swimming, surfing and walking coastal tracks from here. As well there is an abundance of great food available with Wapengo Organic oysters just down the road, Mimosa Winery close by and numerous cafes, pub, restaurants, sourdough bakery, woolworths, bottleshop etc in the gorgeous coastal village of Bermagui. Mobile phone and internet coverage is good with Telstra, not as reliable if you are with Optus. Lovely place to switch off from your device if possible though. If you require firewood please select this in the extras or leave $20 cash per nights supply as we do have to chop, split and deliver this to the site. There is plenty of kindling to scavenge on site. Pets allowed but be aware it is a running cattle farm and it's expected that you know your pets whereabouts at all times. At 1200 metres elevation it is often colder than the surrounding areas and sometimes very foggy. A second site is available near our house at the "hayshed". Let's say you're travelling between Bega and Cooma or Bombala, it's getting late and you need a spot to spend the night which is safe and you can plug into power. I had a wonderful stay at Merimbula Camping. The bush scenery was lovely and the wombats were hilarious and cute. They liked my caravan and used it as a backscratcher at various times in the night. I then put solar lights around so they mostly stayed away. I loved seeing them in the paddock each night - gentle and quiet. There are many other spacious and beautiful sites with drum fireplaces. The toilets were fine. Hot showers available up at the house. Excellent location just out of town . Water available (bring jerries) on site but you can also get it near town on the Bega Rd out. Dump point available in Pambula a few kms away. Great camping - I’ll be back Meredith !

Site for which we had was absolutely amazing. It was on the lake and could hear the soft dappling of the tide at night time. The site was very well prepared, and a great pit fire with a grill which we used to cook. The view is absolutely stunning and the wildlife sounds are so relaxing. The highlight though has been Sally who has been amazingly communicative and generous about using her vegetable garden. Sally is a very lovely soul. We would never have known that there was a place like this in the world unless we booked through Hipcamp. And there is an amazing drive down Black fellows Road through an amazing beach side of Woodland… Four-wheel-drive only! This is our first time here it won’t be our last.

I am in two minds about leaving a review, as we want to keep this special location to ourselves, however; if you are down this way take some time to make your own opinion. We had two days at Orange Grove and didn't want to leave. The location is a perfect place to switch off and remove yourself from the world. We arrived as a group of two couples travelling with dogs in a large motorhome and caravan combo. Tryg and my mate said I am compensating for the size of the motorhome, but hey why not travel in comfort. Site access was ok for us after a little gardening on Tryg's approval so large vehicles can access without restriction. Everything is there; space abounds, impressive fire pit, water views, fish, toilet facility and well sheltered and ir is all yours. Local knowledge abounds, both from locals when walking the streets of Nelligen and from your host Tryg. Even more so when you loosen his tongue with a cold beverage. It is awesome to get a locals perspective and the vibe of what really makes a community and honest mateship of the Aussie spirit. Do yourself a favour and visit this part of the world as it is impressive. David

We loved camping here. Perfect for exploring the area and chilling at the same time. It feels more like a rural campsite than a bush camp being a stone’s throw away from the main road. Super friendly and easy going hosts. Respectful owners mindful of our dog’s needs. Enjoyed chatting with both Julie and David. Dunny is exactly that - a dunny! But we didn’t mind. And our pooch loved the place. Stunning views and amazing campfire set up, both for warming up and cooking. So much wood provided, makes the nightly fee very much worth it. Be wary of ticks, we saw several and I got bitten but we were prepared and so wasn’t an issue. A great experience and wonderful hosts!

Second stay and can happily say this time around we faced no issues! Sharon has updated the information to include instructions for resetting the amenities block pump if it plays up (first stay this happened with no solution). Can highly recommend this camp, amenities are unreal and the location just tops it off. Makes for a nice trip from Canberra via Badja Forest Road > Falcon road.

Fantastic spot! It was really nice to find a spot away from overcrowded camp grounds. This spot is perfect if you’re looking for a place where it’s just you/your group and nature! The grounds were clean and well maintained and having the dam close by was awesome for the kids and dogs. Being dog friendly and off leash meant our pooches could have a nice holiday too! The onsite toilet, fire pit and table/benches made things easy. Hosts Sarah and Tom were great to deal with, communication was easy and we all had a blast. Would recommend to anyone camping withe family/friends especially those who want to bring their dogs. We will be back!
