Really nice quiet spot with total privacy. We’re a 13+ metre rig and had no problem getting in and out. Nice and level, great firepit setup and we appreciated the fire being ready to go (as well as the pack of marshmallows!) Felt safe for our dogs too with the river surrounding three sides and a fenced off entry section. We all loved it. If you are a long setup, make sure you don’t miss the entrance gate as it’s very tough to turn around further down the road. Don’t worry about the sign that says unsuitable for caravans, that applies to the dirt section beyond this property.

Weekend Trip to Behesht Retreat

We tent camped at Behesht Retreat and absolutely loved it. The peaceful, off-grid setting made it the perfect place to unwind and disconnect. We had the whole site to ourselves, which made it feel even more private and relaxing. The pool was perfect for cooling off on a hot day, and we enjoyed walking up the road to watch the cows. A beautiful and refreshing escape, highly recommend.

Peaceful and well maintained. As mentioned in the description there is little shade available. Nesting ducks on the creek and ducking's swimming around. Private road on the way is a little rough, but nothing a standard AWD or 4WD can't handle and it's only 500m or so.

Great camp. Easy to get to. Private space. Toilet was a composting (which was clean and fine). Jim was easy to deal with. What more can i say. Would definitely come back again.

5 nights at Platypus Bend

A truly peaceful spot. Very secluded & quiet just the way we like it. Appreciated the fire being ready to go with wood supplied & the surprise marshmallows were a treat. Easy drive through access for vans. Though we heard splashing on approach, the elusive Platypus managed to evade us, however we did enjoy sitting on the chairs provided trying to spot them. Dane was easy to communicate with & very accommodating. We will definitely be returning to Platypus Bend again. Highly recommend.
