There are plenty of activities to try around town, from bushwalking, exploring the Rail Trail in Murwillumbah and downhill mountain biking at the Uki Mountain Bike Park (Less then 8Km from our property). The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. We are a 40 minute drive from Mebbin National Park, 25 minutes to the town of Nimbin and just over an hour from Byron Bay and plenty of beaches. Enjoy relaxing relaxing around the campfire in our spacious campsites or enjoy a splash or paddle in the small creek. There is drinking water, a hot shower and a compost toilet available for campers. There are a range of campsites available from the edge of the forest down to creek front sites (4WD only) and in the Pecan orchard. Because of our schedule, we had no choice but to arrive around 7 pm, so we had to set up in the dark. It was raining and very windy, so it was quite difficult for us, but Greg helped us with absolutely everything — pitching our tent, putting up our gazebo, and even lending us pegs since it was our first camping trip and we hadn’t brought any. We were so, so grateful and relieved. And even though it was raining and we couldn’t use the fire properly, he still helped us light the firewood beforehand when we told him it was our first time and we weren’t really sure how to do it. That was incredibly kind of him. We couldn’t see the view properly when we arrived at night, but when we woke up in the morning, the scenery was absolutely stunning. It made us want to come back again on a sunny day — this place is truly perfect. Even though our first camping experience was quite challenging, Greg turned it into such a wonderful memory. We’re so thankful to him. We’ll definitely be recommending this place to others. Even the drive here was beautiful, so we truly, truly recommend it.

Sunrise Camping has 15 large sites, and Ironbark has 9 sites (for group bookings). The property is fully fenced, with spectacular views of Lost World and Lamington National Park. The site is semi-off-grid, with two toilets and two showers. It’s a short walk to the Albert River for swimming, fishing, or searching for crystals. There is a tennis court and playground for children. From our sites, you can see and hear a variety of animals: mini cows, mini donkeys, mini goats, lots of sheep, as well as our camels and alpacas — all very friendly and waiting for a feed and a pat. We have a walking track to the top of the property with breathtaking views of the valley. At night, enjoy stargazing and see the Milky Way like never before. There is a small shop on-site with ice, firewood, drinks, barista coffee, and limited takeaway. We can also supply cheese boards and picnic lunches.

The property is situated at the base of MT Lion and on Lynchs creek which flows from the rainforest. There are great hiking tracks along the creek which lead you to fishing holes and swimming holes. You can also hike our property to see Border view camp spot which has beautiful and amazing views of the Border Rangers, you can see Lynchs ck and Warrazambil ck falls in the distance ,you can also look down the valley towards Kyogle and surrounds.There is also an abundance of wildlife on the hike Koala's are often about if you look up for them usually early morning or late afternoon. You will also come across our beautiful Simmental cattle on the hike they are very quite. There is also Fern gully picnic spot on the hike which is a great spot to relax or do some morning yoga at the small waterfall . Children will also find fairy homes. .Fern Gully is a very tranquil. There is a 1km of creek to explore with great fishing spots you can catch Perch ,Cat fish Mullet ,and Carp. The creek is lots of fun to kayak on. There is plenty of creek to paddle and Awesome rapids to challenge yourself. And one of our favourite things to do is fossicking you can find Quartz, Citrine and Jasper.. The Village of Wiangaree is just 4klm from the camp grounds they have great coffee and hot food and also do Friday night meals. And in walking distance of 200 meters is Ferndale Pantry which sells sourdough, eggs, chutneys, cakes and more. We are also a 10klm drive to to the Border Rangers National Park. The Campgrounds are beautifully and are situated on the creek. There are 5 spacious dispersed sites . There are fire pits available and fire wood is available for $20 a wheelbarrow full, just ask on arrival. Rubbish must be taken with you when you leave. There is no toilet, you must bring your own toilet and take home all waste. Bush toilet is not acceptable. Wiangaree have Public toilets. And no potable water. Enjoy your stay at the beautiful Scrub.
