Yarrawin is 680 acre cattle farm and hardwood timber plantation in the heart of the Nambucca Valley, offering scenic, secluded , private campsites with their own swimming hole and a river gravel beach on 3km of beautiful double river frontage. Camping options include river side camps, the Shack and riverside camp and a large secluded valley. Each campsite is separate from the others, giving guests privacy and exclusive use of the swimming hole (except Chinamans Valley) at their site. All riverside sites offer a natural gravel beach entry into the water. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Every site has a fire pit which must be used for campfires. If you want to use your own it must be off the ground. Free firewood and fire pit set up for the first night, IF YOU STAY TWO NIGHTS OR MORE. Firewood $20/ night after that (CASH ONLY PLEASE), except when camping at Chinamans Valley where you collect your own free firewood for each night. Beautiful drinking rain water is available in a 20lt Jerry can if required on arrival. Bird lovers can enjoy watching the various bird varieties, as well as ducks. Animals include wallabies, goannas, deer and fish as well as cattle and stock horses. Fishing is okay but it is STRICTLY catch and release ONLY. There are many places to go bushwalking, either following the river or heading up the valleys or hiking up the hills through the trees. The property is just 10kms from the convenience of Bowraville, a historic township with a supermarket, folk museum, a war museum, a historic theatre, and other historic buildings. Nambucca Heads and the beautiful surrounding beaches are just 27kms east and Coffs Harbour 80kms away. Please note this is a working farm, so there will be cattle and stock horses on the property that may approach your campsite.

HIDING IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYWHERE! Pure. Unadulterated. WILD. 104 very private acres, securely sandwiched between a National Park Nature Reserve and State Forest. On a dead end road. No agriculture or farms upstream, only one other like-minded property owner. Secluded, but hiding smack bang in the middle of everywhere! From vertiginous sandstone cliffs on which epipetrics cling tight, right through to palm-filled rainforests, and with two quite different creek systems (including a monster waterfall), you'll be spoiled for things to do and places to explore - without even leaving the property! HISTORY This land is Gumbaynggirr land. Please be particularly mindful of our First Nation's long presence on this land. In the 1800's, white men came seeking Red Cedar, closely followed by settlers having a go at dairying; though logging has remained this area's mainstay. This special property, despite last being selectively logged about 50 years ago, hosts many huge old-growth trees remaining steadfast for your discovery and wonder. And many more are continuing to grow out too. About 35 years ago about nine of this property's eastern-most 104 acres became part of a far larger nashi pear orchard which filled much of the flats of this top end of the valley that you see today. Ultimately they failed to set good commercial fruit, and the rootstocks took over. You can see remnant rows of these trees just south of the property, from along the road. (Beware though - they have spikes that could puncture Caterpillar tracks!) MORE RECENTLY extensive lantana control efforts have been undertaken as we now move into revegetating with native species and implementing a permaculture plan. Today the property is registered with Land For Wildlife and hosts a very wide mix of native vegetation communities. ACTIVITIES Bird watch. Climb. Abseil. Photograph wildflowers. Paint. Swim. This is an old peach farm, set over 25 acres with a quarter of the property cleared and the rest left untoched. Only seven minutes off the Pacific highway but it feels like a world away. Perfect for a nice overnight stop. We've set up the camping area in a nice clearing inmersed into the lovely natural forest surroundings. You will be camping next to an awesome lake where you can go for a paddle or a swim. Other than the summer hum of cicadas or the cackle of some resident kookaburras, it's peaceful and private. There are plenty of roos and wallabies around, as well as lots of birdlife including black swans. You can paddle in the lake and try to catch a fish there. We've set up a nice little homemade pontoon. So far only one spot to camp (that will fit up to 3 cars if you come in a group), so you will have the place all to yourselves. The next house (our Shouse) is at least 300m away from the camping area, so solitude and privacy is guaranteed. The property is close to plenty of beach options or nice little towns such as Woolgolga (25 min south) and Grafton (25 minutes north).

All riverside sites offer a natural gravel beach entry into the water. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Every site has a fire pit which must be used for campfires. If you want to use your own it must be off the ground. Free firewood and fire pit set up for the first night, IF YOU STAY TWO NIGHTS OR MORE. Firewood $20/ night after that (CASH ONLY PLEASE), except when camping at Chinamans Valley where you collect your own free firewood for each night. Beautiful drinking rain water is available in a 20lt Jerry can if required on arrival. Bird lovers can enjoy watching the various bird varieties, as well as ducks. Animals include wallabies, goannas, deer and fish as well as cattle and stock horses. Fishing is okay but it is STRICTLY catch and release ONLY. There are many places to go bushwalking, either following the river or heading up the valleys or hiking up the hills through the trees. The property is just 10kms from the convenience of Bowraville, a historic township with a supermarket, folk museum, a war museum, a historic theatre, and other historic buildings. Nambucca Heads and the beautiful surrounding beaches are just 27kms east and Coffs Harbour 80kms away. Please note this is a working farm, so there will be cattle and stock horses on the property that may approach your campsite.

There are 40 acres of bushland to go walkabout. Geese and ducks free range the property and feeding time visits can be arranged. We are just 1.5km of single track gravel road to the Pacific Highway with good access for all types of vehicles. There is a choice of private campsites either by the dam or the creek with no other campers in sight! We also have a multi site area at the Woodland Ridgetop with a camp kitchen, compost toilets and showers. This will be available to be booked as a large group area or as 3 individual sites. Later in 2024 we will also have beautiful glamping bell tent sites available. Drinking water (tank water) is available from an outdoor tap at the farmhouse, as long as we have had sufficient rainfall. Please check in advance if you require water. Campers MUST have their own self contained amenities for the Creek Camp, and the 2 Parking Sites, and leave no trace. There is a toilet dump point for chemical toilets in Macksville, 10 mins away. All he sites are dog friendly as long as all dog poo is cleared up. 20 mins to Scotts Head and Grassy Head beaches and Yarrahapinni National Park. HIDING IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYWHERE! Pure. Unadulterated. WILD. 104 very private acres, securely sandwiched between a National Park Nature Reserve and State Forest. On a dead end road. No agriculture or farms upstream, only one other like-minded property owner. Secluded, but hiding smack bang in the middle of everywhere! From vertiginous sandstone cliffs on which epipetrics cling tight, right through to palm-filled rainforests, and with two quite different creek systems (including a monster waterfall), you'll be spoiled for things to do and places to explore - without even leaving the property! HISTORY This land is Gumbaynggirr land. Please be particularly mindful of our First Nation's long presence on this land. In the 1800's, white men came seeking Red Cedar, closely followed by settlers having a go at dairying; though logging has remained this area's mainstay. This special property, despite last being selectively logged about 50 years ago, hosts many huge old-growth trees remaining steadfast for your discovery and wonder. And many more are continuing to grow out too. About 35 years ago about nine of this property's eastern-most 104 acres became part of a far larger nashi pear orchard which filled much of the flats of this top end of the valley that you see today. Ultimately they failed to set good commercial fruit, and the rootstocks took over. You can see remnant rows of these trees just south of the property, from along the road. (Beware though - they have spikes that could puncture Caterpillar tracks!) MORE RECENTLY extensive lantana control efforts have been undertaken as we now move into revegetating with native species and implementing a permaculture plan. Today the property is registered with Land For Wildlife and hosts a very wide mix of native vegetation communities. ACTIVITIES Bird watch. Climb. Abseil. Photograph wildflowers. Paint. Swim.
