It was worth the 2hrs. and 15 minutes to get there. Very private and peaceful. Addison left me enough campfire wood. My Grandson and I had a good time camping in the woods. would definitely recommend and would come back again.
Site 3 stay
Very nice site, fairly close to the house, but still private and quiet, esp at the back part of the site where we parked the teardrop. Listened to owls and coyotes at night. One thing to be aware of is that there are some ticks-so check yourself and your pets. Addison was very accommodating-I had cancelled and then decided to go after all-all good. Also he was very responsive and nice to interact with. I hiked to the other sites as well. Sites 1 and 2 are a bit of a hike in by foot, but were nice, rustic sites. One has a tent platform. Sites 4 and 5 are in a pine forest and have large clearings for tents/small campers. There would be no issue driving to the sites as long as you don't have a low rider, lol. Couple of rocks, but you can easily get around them. Also drove to Campbell Falls trail. Not too long of a hike and really beautiful waterfall and river. Will definitely go to this place again, likely to site 4 or 5 (I think I saw a site 6 as well?). Thanks Addison!
Great quiet camping experience.
Outstanding camping experience!!! We stayed at campsite #5. We were able to drive down in our truck and it was a perfect site for our rooftop tent. Campsite was large and clean. There was a well built fire ring as well as some firewood set aside. The campsite is a ways off a quiet road. It was nice and peaceful and made you feel like you were away from it all. Only thing I would say is that to drive down you will want a truck or jeep as the road can get a bit rough. Will be back again.
