This tiny house is as simple and special as it gets. Think of it as a two person pine paradise with screened in windows, a deck to watch the sunrise, and a queen memory foam mattress with down comforter and fluffy pillows. This isn't the Four Seasons though. It's still camping. You'll get four seasons, but you'll be right in the middle of them. There's no electricity or plum
There's no electricity or plumbing in your small sanctuary, but there's an outdoor shower nearby and a porta-potty about 150 yards away.
The Sunrise Studio sits pretty close to our house as well as another site called the Writer's Tower, but facing away from both so it feels pretty private. If you're traveling with friends, I recommend renting this and the Writer's tower. Or have a look at "Close to nothing and everything". That's a larger cabin on our property about a quarter mile away in the woods that's perfect for bigger parties because you can pitch multiple tents around the cabin.
The Northwest corner of Connecticut is literally overflowing with lakes, mountains, hiking, villages, shopping, eating, caffeinating and movie-going, but where you'll stay is just five minutes and 100 acres away from it all.
Communal sunset fire-pit with spectacular views:
Every night we have guests, we’ll light our hand-welded repurposed oil tank fire-pit. Beverages will be made available. Feel free to chat with us, other guests or enjoy the cool breeze and spectacular sunsets.
We have 100 acres of deciduous forest to walk in, mountain bike on, and enjoy. Hiking trails throughout.
Shower outdoors surrounded only by cedar. This shower is attached to the main house, so it's not secluded, but is appropriately private.

Places to see near Theodore G.’s Land
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We had a wonderful stay at the Sunrise Studio! Theodore was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home the second we arrived. He had many helpful suggestions for activities nearby and provided a nice communal fire to enjoy the stars next to. The studio was an amazing place to get a good night's rest after a long day! The bed was very comfortable and waking up with the sunrise right outside the front doors was picturesque. If you're looking for a comfortable place to rest in an absolutely stunning location this studio is for you! Would love to come back!
Ct cabin escape
My girlfriend and I normally go to Maine and NH to camp but really didn’t feel like planning and preparing this weekend. Theo’s cabin was the perfect compromise. You get the mountains, view, woods all included in his picturesque cabin in northwestern CT. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to get a few hikes in with a great place to stay. He was a great host and we will most definitely be back for the fall foliage.
