Primitive camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
I bought this property to eventually build my dream off-the-grid home where I can enjoy beautiful frontier land by just walking out my door. I also love skii season and love how close this is to the valleys! Learn more about this land: Views of white-capped mountains and rolling plains! Smaller mountains with forests are nearby and in view. The sun shines here almost year round and temperatures are always comfortable even at the peak of summer! Nights are always cool with a nice breeze. There is fishing, hiking, boating, climbing, and wildlife watching all around this area! It is common to see pronghorn, antelope, and mule dear on or near the property! Bring your camera! Hot air balloon rides are a few miles out! In the winter, you are only a couple hours drive from Breckenridge ski valley, one of the most popular ski valleys in Colorado! It is also around the same distance from many other popular ski destinations! Campfires are allowed when there is not a burn ban in place. Please refer to the Park County website for burn ban rules! The pictures were all taken on the hill near the corner of Caddo Rd and Nipmuck Tr, which is honestly the least pretty spot! I am working on solving that and I will take more pictures soon! Anyone who can go out and take better pictures than me will get a big discount on their next stay! The property is truly off the grid so there are no facilities. If you do not have a camper with a bathroom, please handle your own waste and do not urinate or defecate on the property. This is a beautiful area so please respect it and keep it beautiful for everyone else! For Rv Owners, there is an RV dump at the Sinclair in FairPlay. I am always available for questions and to solve any issues you might have! Please do not hesitate to call me so I can help make your stay a great experience!

Rolling plains with Mountain Views
Beautiful Rolling Plains
The Rolling Plains are very peaceful and relaxing. This property is a nice drive just outside of Hartsel, CO. Make sure you have your GPS coordinates before you get started just incase you don't have cell service. Justin is a great landowner and will make sure you have all of the directions prior to starting your trip. Once there, you simply pull off the dirt road and find a comfortable spot to camp. We had a tent for our quick trip, but the I think this spot would be especially good for campers and RVs. There is plenty of level ground to set up on. The views are amazing! It is quiet and peaceful here. There are cows roaming the surrounding area. Even the thunderstorm rolling in made the afternoon relaxing. I would recommend this stay if you are in the area.
