We are located 15 minutes' driving distance from the entrance to Yosemite National Park. **Note that during the summer months, you may need to get a reservation ahead of time for day-use to go into Yosemite - we recommend you check the Yosemite website to find out more. Our site is also located 15 minutes' driving to the historic town of Groveland, which features some great restaurants and shops. Our campsites offer sweeping views of 4 waterfalls, vibrant sunrises and sunsets, three different river canyons, and a classic Sierra Nevada foothills ecosystem.
Bring your own tent and camping gear, or rent camping gear from us. You are also welcome to camp in your van or car - you can park right at the campsite. We offer a bathhouse just a 2-minute walk from your campsite with flushing toilets, showers with hot water, a water refill station, and wi-fi near the building.
The sites can accommodate up to 5 people, note there is a fee for extra campers per night after 2 people.
We are less than 5 minutes away from Rainbow Pools, a local swimming hole, and 5 minutes away from the Lucky Buck, a tasty diner. We are more than happy to give you suggestions on places to explore around Yosemite, Stanislaus National Forest, and Groveland.
We have a small dog named Nala who you might see running around and we can be around as much or as little as you'd like! This is a perfect spot for you if you're looking for a quiet and peaceful spot with views just at the doorstep to Yosemite.

we had the upper touloume site…. views were great….
bathrooms and showers were very clean
and tom was helpful and kind
full of local information
certainly would highly recommend this site and will try and be back
Incredible views !
Loved it so much I was back the same month! Stayed at the upper tuolume campsite which had incredible views of the hills and nearby water fall. Was still very private.
Platform was very big and acted as a great side table !
Tom and Liza were super friendly as always and I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!
Fantastic location close to Yosemite entrance. Amazing sites with great views, picnic tables, and platforms. The gas fire pits were really nice at night! The bathrooms and showers were very clean with fresh towels everyday. Highly recommend!
My stay was perfect, exactly what I needed for a getaway to star gaze, watch the sunset and sunrise, read a book and meditate. =) The Host had great communication from the moment I booked to which I greatly appreciate. I’m looking forward to going back.
Second time back!
Second time back in a month! This is one of the best camping spots around. The views into the nearby hills and valley are unbeatable and it’s super close to Yosemite and there’s also another town nearby.
Stayed at the upper Tuolomme campsite, very private with a spectacular view of the waterfalls and the hills. Platform was big and sturdy.
Liza is always very welcoming and friendly! Will definitely be coming back soon
The place was easy to find, no fuss, nice area to park your car with great views. The best is the facilities, impecable shower and bathrooms. Great value for money and close to Yosemite. Would stay again.
10/10 - camping with views
Fantastic camping site outside of Yosemite!
I was in the tenaya site and it had some incredible views. Liza was very welcoming and communicative and responded whenever I had questions.
The site came with a picnic table and there’s was a cooler set up with water nearby which was a nice touch. Another camper was at the site over but our cars were between us so it was very private. Bathrooms and shower were very clean and only a short walk away. Wifi was a good option to have to look up nearby hikes.
Yosemite requires reservations from 6-4, this site was only 15 minutes away from entrance so I woke up early and got there before 6 then took a nap on the road :)
Things to note:
- the Yosemite valley is about an hour away but that’s pretty standard if you’re staying anywhere outside of the valley
- You do hear the cars from the nearby road but again this is standard for any site outside Yosemite, it does quiet down at night
Overall would definitely recommend and will def be back !!
We love nala puppy!!!
Liza is a wonderfully welcoming host. Quick to greet and give suggestions on things to do in the area. Specifically Yosemite (gate is 15 min away) . But don’t skip the rainbow pool down the road. Perfect dip after long drive and only minutes away. ($8 to park, bring cash)
The shower/bathroom was best campground bathroom I’ve been at. All private rooms and LAVENDER SOAP! Depending on where your site is at you may have beautiful view of the surrounding hills. 10/10 recommend.
Perfect stay in a very well equipped place: wide and clean showers, towels, sink…
We were on the « Merced » site which happens to be our choice as the other ones, while having a better view, may hear the sound of the electrical lines.
