If you want to just wander in the desert, there's plenty of room. If you prefer a hike in the hills the park is just right there.
Located 20 minutes from a bunch of rocks...like a lot of rocks...so many they made a park.
Plenty of birds and lizards, and the cactii while not very exciting are still fun to look at, plenty of them as well.
Natural features you'll find at Wendy's Kick it Spot - Tent and RV in California.
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
My family and I used Wendy's place as a base camp while visiting Joshua Tree NP for a week. The road in and out was a bit bump for four minivan but it was worth it for how secluded you felt once getting out to Wendy's property.
Wendy met us when we arrive super late and gave us a tour of her properties and the amenities. Our site had everything. Chairs, side tables, picnic table, fire pit, and a bench. She had water available close by. The outdoor bathroom was super clean and was a flushing toilet.
Wendy's dogs were friendly and visited us often. All of them have their own personality. We liked that Wendy took the time to introduce us to he dogs and tell us about their personalities. That made feel more comfortable about our kids playing with them.
We really have nothing bad to say about Wendy's place and look forward to coming back.
Wendy's spot was super chill, clean and complete with all the things you need to kick it, including super cute pups! There is running water but locals suggest you bring filtered to drink! Be prepared to drive a couple miles down a sandy road to get here (main road was washed out when we were there), but the silence is worthwhile for those who want it.
We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed a couple! Huge thank you to Wendy and every other friendly face and much love to the very well-trained and good-tempered Dave, Blue, and Kylo. We will be back.
Great host. Just make sure you read the instructions on which road to take. If you use Google Maps, it will take you down a road you will get stuck on. Make sure you read the instructions written by the host. Other then that bit, we really enjoyed the spot.
Wonderful stay! i’ll be back!
I had a great time at Wendy’s! I went when the campsite was very empty because it was still a hot summer, so since I went solo I had the grounds to myself. Wendy and her family were so nice and helpful to me. I was given a site under a shady tree with a hammock, and I spent the weekend just lounging and reading. Her outdoor bathroom and outdoor shower were very charming! It was so quiet during the day and starry at night. I’m definitely going return one day soon!
It’s really lovely place amid of desert. I recommend u to write a list of utensil you need coz in public it can use for everyone, but everything is in her house. I felt sorry to ask her every single time. Wendy is considerable, so she provided me everything iI asked. This place is with shade of tree, so it’s not deadly hot. My 2years boy loved this place coz interior?! here is so cute, n can get along with her dog. Campfire also was great. What u need was inly the tent.
