Quiet and peaceful little spot next to a quaint pond and vineyard. Clean toilet facilities. Easy check-in with the host. Lots of wine tasting nearby if that’s what you’re into.
Maybe a little over priced for what it is, but a nice alternative to the pricey hotels of the region. You can see the host’s home from the pond as another reviewer said, but the host gave us full privacy during our stay.
Michael's place was awesome! We didn't have any reception during the last ten minutes or so before getting to the place, so definitely coordinate in advance with your arrival time. When you get there, be sure to drive past the home and down to the site. It looks exactly as it does in the pictures. Lots of options as to where to set up our tent.
It was great being able to camp in the midst of a vineyard and waking up to ducks by the pond. I would definitely stay here again.
A perfect weekend on a private pond
Wonderful stay! It was very private as we were the only ones on the site, no other campers, vehicles or other people were in our area at all the entire time. It really felt that we had space to settle and enjoy. The two dogs that live on site were a wonderful greeting and farewell crew! The portable toilet was clean and conveniently located on the site. Lots of vineyards to go wine tasting to that were a short drive away. Brought some twinkle lights with us that we put up to add more lighting and a special feel.
Peaceful, quiet and relaxing
Some friends let my husband and I borrow their camper van to experience the RV way of camping. We chose this spot and it could not have been any more perfect. Easy to get to we were met by a family member of Michael’s who gave us the load down of the site as we were newbies of the RV style of camping. We initially set up by the dock but found the 30amp plug was on the other side othe the lake (the dock side had a regular plug). We later found we had an extension and could have set up by the lake, however by that time we enjoyed the set up the way it was; it was shadier on the other side anyway.. If we come back again I think we will do the same set up. Even though it was hot the few days we were there, we enjoyed a fire every night. The ducks were fun to watch as well as the bats at night. The vineyards were a pretty place to camp amongst.
Excellent campsite! We stayed in a camper van, there was water and electric hookup, clean bathroom, shady spot which was amazingly level. Strong Verizon signal for “working.” The site was clean, private, beautiful vineyard, the ducks kept us entertained. Super convenient to wineries and the harbor at Morro bay. I can’t think of a single thing that would have made this better, I’m looking forward to revisiting again soon!
