A real life tree house. Magical! Gina our hostess with the mostest is also magical. Klamath River. Fresh strawberries. Órganic farm fresh eggs. A chicken coop. Goats. Did I mention it’s well insulated? Super clean. No showers, but who cares? Pro tip: there are NO grocery stores with fresh veggies and fruits. There’s one mart that sells canned goods, alcohol and pies! Be sure to stock up on the main I-5 or main roads before you turn in to the Klamath National Forest.
Wonderful experience. Really peaceful and serene. Had farm fresh eggs and chorizo the first night. The property gets almost pitch black at night and you can see the stars very clearly. There are roosters nearby, so you might hear them crow early in the morning. I didn't mind it. The view of the river and mountains from the top of the hill are amazing.
For those who need it, there is decent wi-fi on the deck by the river, but not in the treehouse itself. It's good enough for checking e-mail but not for video calls. No cell service probably for any carrier.
The composting toilet was surprisingly clean and comfortable to use.
There were some basic kitchen tools--plates, skillets, a few spoons and forks; a mini-fridge, propane camping stove, and a spigot for potable water with a small washtub. I'm not sure how often the propane is restocked, but I had about one canister to do any cooking with.
There's a radiator heater which worked quite well on the freezing nights, and a small fan I didn't end up using. And there were two two-gang outlets in total in the treehouse.
I had hoped to do some hiking in the area, but couldn't really find any super well-maintained trails. But the property itself was so nice and there are so many river access points up and down the highway and on the property itself that I didn't mind at all. The nearest gas station is in Seiad Valley, the second closest is probably in Hornbrook or Yreka; so it's a good idea to fill up before driving in.

Gina was such a lovely hostess. Her property is so beautiful and peaceful! The tree house was cozy and had all the basics you could need. About 40 minutes off the 5 and lovely drive. The roosters are lively and we can’t wait to try our fresh eggs! Would love to come back again!

Wonderful experience! We really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and warm cozy bed. Thank you for a wonderful time. We were passing through on a road trip and had a great time in Gina’s beautiful spot!
The treehouse was remarkable, nestled on the river in a secluded, peaceful place. Gina is the sweetest host, so considerate and accommodating. The place had everything we needed and was set up intuitively. Wish we could have spent more time here, don’t hesitate to book!

My time at the treehouse was nothing short of serenity. I kept extending my stay!
Gina and joe were exceptional hosts with kindness and care. The treehouse was absolutely perfect. if you are wanting a tranquil getaway I highly recommend staying with Gina and Joe. I would have stayed forever, it was everything and more!
Thank you Gina and Joe for your care!

I wanted to wait until after my boyfriend and I finished our road trip to give this place a review. Hands down, this was our most favorite spot that we stayed at along our west coast trip! Staying here was 1000 times better than staying at a hotel, and as much as we both enjoy camping, this was practically the best of both worlds. Unfortunately I was unable to meet the hosts, but their brother was there to greet us the next morning after we got in a little late the night prior. Great people, great location, and such a wonderful fun place to stay. There is a lovely view of the river and it’s located in a secluded area off the busy roads so you rarely hear cars or other people. Lots of hens and roosters to hang out with on the property during the day, and we even did spot some deer the night we came in! The treehouse itself was well cleaned and stocked with everything we could possibly need from shower supplies, eggs, bug spray, extra blankets, and plenty of coffee! My boyfriend and I will definitely be planning a trip here in the summer when it’s warmer to enjoy the river more, and we now know that it is important to stay more than 1 day, because 1 day is just not enough at the lovely tree house!!
Such a neat spot. Would live here if I could! A bit far off the beaten path, but worth it.
