Important note in access this site. River Site Glorious requires portage across the river in thigh deep moving water. Gear must be carried in packs. Both hands must be free to cross the river using a guide rope rigged only in spring and summer. If upon seeing it, you are not wanting to cross, we will have an alternate site on this side of the river.
It is a river site that you will find ranks very high on the list of perfect sites. *** This one requires a portage across the river to a swinging bed and a sand bar for tent set up. Waist deep, moving water, a rope across the river for balance, bring minimal gear in backpacks ***
You can use only small camp stoves and 2-4 person tents. No ginormous codo-style tents. There isn't room. Packs are needed to access this site as the terrain is steep.
It accommodates 2-4 campers max campers. Not recommended fopr beginners or children. Cross through the river to get to this beautiful, secluded campsite. Sleep on the swing or pitch your tent. No bedding provided. Campsite NOT available if the water is too high to cross.
Your LNT and Wilderness ethic must be sharp given the close proximity to water. NO HUMAN WASTE! You must use the chemical toilets. NOTHING in the river except your warm, naked (optional) body.

Toilets are composting or chemical. Use your own camp stoves and opt to stay clear of the house entirely for maximum seclusion. The toilets are located near the house which is a 5-10 minute walk from the site.
You provide tents, tent footprint (tarp), lights, sleeping bags, food, insect repellant, wood, camp stove and other stuff. There is an outdoor , hot water shower and the river (NO SOAP of ANY KIND IN THE RIVER. CARRY WATER 5 FEET AWAY FOR THE WATER, LATHER UP AND RINSE ON THE SHORE)

The River Sites are super unique in part because one never finds a campsite that close to a river. With the luxury of camping on a river comes the responsibility of being extremely mindful of your impacts. The river sites are right on the river bank and about as close to sleeping in a river as you can get without being on a raft. It is, however, especially sensitive to human impact so being fully knowledgeable about the 7 Leave No Trace Principles allows use this site. If not, then you really should research it, especially as HipCamp guests follow a strong nature ethic.

Paradise in the sierras
I absolutely loved this property. If you're after a private site right by a river you have found your spot. The owners are so warm and welcoming they made us feel right at home.
Site 1 is for campers who value privacy and don't mind crossing a small river with camping gear.
It's such a beautiful and unique spot that you'll end up spending all your time on the property.
Loved it and can't wait to return.
Beautiful secluded site right on the river. It took a few trips but we were able to get all of our camping supplies across the river with no problems. There were good food/coffee/market options in town. Hosts were welcoming but left us to our own to enjoy the land. Outdoor shower was a great amenity.
My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed River Site Glorious #1. Try to pack minimally as there is a river that needs to be crossed. I personally didn't mind walking back to my car for a few trips to get our full load down to the site or to pack some of our trash in our car half way through the stay.
Highly recommend if you are looking for an approachable and comfortable adventure!
Loved this site!
Wow! What an incredible spot! Mehmet really has an amazing property that he has clearly put a lot of time to make gorgeous. 100% recommend booking this place it is one of my favorite camping sites ever! I have told all of my friends and two of them have already booked a stay.
I went for fourth of July and this was the perfect spot I cannot say enough. Right by the river sleeping on the swinging bed was dreamy. We ended up just staying at the campsite for two days and hanging out on the river all day because it was so peaceful, beautiful and serene. Mehmet was super nice and briefly took time to visit us at our campground to introduce himself and make sure all of our expectations were satisfied but let us have our space shortly after which was really nice as my girlfriend and I were just having the most romantic weekend hanging out at the site.
Other notes: crossing the river is really not to challenging, if youre even a beginner hiker you will have no problem. If you have small children I would not recommend the spot just because you do have to cross to go to and from the camp site to where you park. In saying that it is still totally manageable and any child might love the easy challenge of trekking across a river! Just be aware that the river flow will change through out the year and likely moves a little faster early summer rather than later summer.
I will definitely be staying here again and already looking at when I can make it happen. I live in San Diego and it is such a close and easy to access spot to get totally lost in nature and relax.
Summer camping at river site glorio
Our stay at River Site Glorious was great! Mehmet was communicative and friendly leading up to our trip and was super helpful once we arrived. This was our first Hipcamp experience and I had no idea what to expect but if you have the opportunity, I highly recommend it! There was no getting up crazy early to secure a campsite at a first come, first served campground, we had a gorgeous and private river side campsite and fell asleep to the sound of the current every night, the days were super hot but we had our own little private river pool to cool off in all day. Crossing the river was pretty easy and even refreshing given the heat of the day. Mehmet and Chico were very kind and welcoming and the experience overall was a great one.
Best camping in california
This is our second time at this beautiful camping destination and it just keeps getting better! You can’t find a better camping spot in California! Such a hidden, beautiful gem. We are already thinking of when we can come back! Also don’t be scared of the hot weather, it’s absolutely perfect when you’re in the water! So amazing as always!
