Covid-19: We are open and hosting a limited number of campers during Covid-19 emergency. As hosts, we follow the guidelines presented by Center for Disease Control and Hipcamp Host Covid-19 Certification. We expect you as guests to do the same. All our camp sites are outdoors and spaced at least 100 feet apart. There are really no common areas. Gathering together is cool just not at the house.
In preparing, READ the listing carefully. Campers should bring all the camping gear needed (got to :10 Essentials of Backpacking and Camping). Do not overpack and refrain from using gigantic tents. Keep ALL food stored in coolers, car, and/or dry good boxes to discourage animals from the campsites.
Xico, Mehmet, and the people who come here respect the environment. We are committed to leaving no physical trace of our activities wherever we gather. We clean up after ourselves and endeavor, whenever possible, to leave such places in a better state than when we found them.
Upon confirmation, you will receive the gate code. Please make sure you get it.
Coyote View is one of our favorite spots on the land. It is a raised area of an ancient river bed that looks out from a slight rise on the land in all four directions with beautiful views of the eastern sun/moonrise and amazing stargazing. And there is absolutely no light pollution.
Please note: This spot is completely exposed to sun and gets very hot (100 F) during the day in the summer and perfectly warm and toasty in the winter. It's the best spot for star gazing with zero light pollution (and we mean zero!). This site is about a 5 minute walk to the bathroom and parking. an Eazy-Up is useful.
You are responsible for taking your trash and recycling with you.
RECREATIONISTS PLEASE NOTE that we offer guided road bike and mountain bike excursions that can be catered to you! We can put you on world-class single track, technical and road bike trails!
I. Enjoy a 40 mile round-trip road bike ride at 7,200 feet along the majestic Western Divide Highway in the Giant Sequoia National Monument and literally see the top of the mountain. The ride will take you through high Sierra meadows, Giant sequoia groves, Quaking Aspen forests, iconic granite outcroppings, all under perfect blue skies with clean air to breath (Yeah, remember that?). We will transport your bikes from the Land to the start point on the Western Divide, and provide healthy, simple snacks along the way, and transport back down to camp. Costs are on a sliding scale of $50/person.
II. Single track, technical mountain bike rides can be launched from Camp Nelson Trail in the GSNM (technical) or rides that launch right from the Land onto foothill trails that double as the route for the Fat Tire Classic occurring in October (moderate, technical). We will transport your bikes from the Land to the start point on the Western Divide, and provide healthy, simple snacks along the way, and transport back down to camp. Costs are on a sliding scale of $50/person.

A peaceful retreat
Camped three nights at the wildnet retreat. The campsite was spectacular. Beautiful views with wildlife and the sound of the Tule River.
I camped in the winter. An amazing and rare snowfall occurred. The hosts, Chico and Mehmet, are wonderful. They take care of their guests with love and care. They have two sweet dogs and one quiet kitty on the property. They love children as well.
The outdoor shower was lovely. During the summer- they encourage guests to go adventurous and bath in the river. There are private mediation areas along the property where you are one with nature. There are some fire pits (when in season) to use as well. I was able to use the community patio, at the time, to keep warm during the snow storm. It was breath taking.
Please be mindful of the wildlife on the property. The hosts love ALL of their animals. Be on the look out for snakes 🐍 during season.
The property is safe, peaceful, and ready for those who embrace solitude. Please refine from the idea of wanting to "party," bc this place is not for you then. There are other guests that stay on the property as well.
Will return again.
Inspirational and creative camping
Absolutely Beautiful! The sound of the river flowing with a fire burning under the stars was otherworldly and magnificent. The hosts, fellow campers and the dogs were all friendly. I especially loved the outdoor heated shower. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to camp at this location and would love to visit again.
This place has a truly beautiful energy. The hosts are clearly very committed to creating and maintaining harmony between people, animals and nature. Their commitment to Leave No Trace will inspire you to tread lightly and lessen your footprint. The river running directly through the property is a gift - wander down there to spend the days and you’ll be grateful you did. The hosts are kind and considerate, always asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay even better. I’m already looking forward to returning.
Coyote view campsite.
Coyote view campsite was good at night for star glazing and moon rise from the mountains are stunning. During day as there’s no shade, we were forced to go to river due to heat. Having said that river inside the property is a huge plus and 5 mins walk. The downside of the campsite is there’s 3-5 min walk from the car and if there are lot of things to be brought, then it’s a bit of work. Overall good experience.
The host is really really kindness for us but
We should be very quite after 9pm ( any cooking, any fire near my tent)
And then We couldn't use refrigiator even just for an hour and you have to bring everything. Literally everything. Don't expect any stuff for you. And there is only one bbq fits which mean is if other group use a bbq fits, you can't use it.
Even you already bought a beef. You can't
And then after 9pm you can't use a bbq fits.
They are kind of strict. But really nice place
This spot is a great place to get away from the busy city. Mehmet/Chico were very accommodating when we arrived. They have really nice amenities including a very clean shower and decorated lounge area/property. The campground was isolated and cool at night. Also, there is a nice river on the property to cool off on a hot summer day. My friends and I hope to visit again.
