Deja is awesome and lovely and her property is amazing!! Deja is a great host and showed us everything we needed to know, she made us feel so welcomed and showed concern for our elderly dog! The property is secluded but still close to hiking trails and swimming holes. It gets cold at night but Deja provides firewood and a very cool fire pit near the kitchen. We stayed midweek so we had the property to ourselves (aside from Deja and her dogs), I was able to take a bath under the sunset and enjoyed the quiet mornings and nights. The night sky is beautiful and having fresh eggs from her chicken coop in the morning is a wonderful treat! This was our first time using hipcamp and it was such an amazing experience that I would choose to do again! I also highly recommend staying here with Deja at any of her sites (yurts or water tower). The perfect getaway from the city!

This place is super rad! My partner and I stayed in the water tower which was comfy and stayed cool despite the warm weather, great for our needs. The outdoor kitchen and shower were great! Wish we had time for the sauna, will def book again and bring a group. The caretaker was kind and gave us awesome reccomendations for nearby creek spots that we had all to ourselves - just as fun as the Yuba River! So many little touches I really enjoyed.

Although the entire site was lovely, the Water Tower was incredibly hot temperature wise since the room is small and two stories above the ground. There were two fans in the room but they did not help much. There is no cross ventilation so I tried sleeping with the door opened. Overall, it was not worth the money to book the room.

What a beautiful property! A getaway that was good for the soul. Loved everything about it, can't wait to return! Highlights were the outdoor kitchen and shower, beautiful garden, short drive to Oregon Creek, and the stars at night. Thank you for sharing your sweet space with us!

My girlfriend and I couldn’t have wished for a better 1st time Hipcamp experience. Upon arriving, you instantly leave everything behind and get the feeling that you belong here.

We were greeted with smiles from Deja and all the lovely puppies in the property. Deja and the other campers made us feel at home as we made pizza, shared stories, embraced the warmth from the fire pit and danced the night away. There is so much you can do in the property like exploring the farm, using the outdoor bathtub, making pizza (shoutout to Norman for the homemade pizza dough!) and giving as much belly rubs to all the cute puppies. The outdoor kitchen was very clean and well stocked with seasonings and a mini fridge you can store food in. The place is so beautiful you will leave with a catalog of photos and memories you made during your time here.

We were able to get through the dirt road with our 2WD Honda CR-V but you can also take a sedan with no problems. The place is a 40-50min drive from really great hikes or Oregon Creek if you want to spend a full day hanging out by the water.

We seriously can’t wait to come back and spend more time in this enchanted farm.

This place is such a breath of fresh air. We absolutely loved every moment of our trip and even stayed an extra night! The hosts made us feel us feel right at home. They helped us out with some homegrown herbs and veggies for our meals and helped us use the pizza oven (which was awesome and totally recommend using when you come because it was great!) There are amazing creeks, hikes, lakes, and waterfalls all within 30 mins and a cute lil downtown in North San Juan where we went to get some supplies. We had a kitty and lots of doggy friends which was great since we were missing our own. The other Hipcampers were very friendly and respectful and all the sites were nicely spread out so you can have as much space as you want.
Overall we had a great time and already have our next trip booked!

I took my 8-year-old niece here and we had a BLAST!!!!! The land is beautiful, secluded, and Johnny and Julian were very welcoming. My niece and I stayed in the yurt and she would call it the Genie Bottle. They made pizza from scratch for us and cooked it in the brick oven. I loved how the kitchen, the hang-out area, and showers were outdoors. During the day we would take little day trips to Bullards Reservoir, Yuba River, and Nevada City. This place is in the perfect area! We had so much fun and didn't want to leave so we booked an extra night! Definitely coming back soon!! Thank you so much Solis Family for the great memories!

After a relaxing and refreshing weekend at the Water Tower, my partner and I cannot wait to return! Deja and Norm are the most hospitable hosts and you can truly see the amount of time and care they have put into making their property so welcoming and unique. There's really nothing better than soaking in an outdoor tub while the sun sets and then heading to the kitchen to make fresh wood-fired pizza. By the way, the kitchen has every appliance and utensil you could ever need or want. Not to mention all the friendly animals that will gladly give you some company while lounging by the fire. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone that wants to get off the grid for a minute! Can't wait for our next visit!

Deja and her spouse Norm were amazing hosts and would go far and beyond to make you feel comfortable and help with whatever you need. We could not be grateful enough for their hospitality. We love the artistic touches throughout the whole property, the super nice kitchen, access to their fresh chicken eggs, and most of all, her impeccable communication. We gave her advance notice that we were bringing our dog who has "behavioral quirks" and she was more than accommodating to help make our dog feel comfortable. It was coincidentally her husband's birthday and they generously shared some of the delicious food for the celebration. They have a small farm of pigs, chicken and ducks and we even got to buy some of their pork butt, bacon, and sausages to cook at home. We definitely recommend this unique stay and look forward to staying again soon!
