Wonderful and tranquil!!
We had an outstanding stay with Sharon and Tom. They were perfect hosts- very welcoming, kind, and helpful. The grounds were very peaceful and beautiful. We loved the chickens and horse on the property, and loved the proximity of the nearby playground (10-15 min walk), as well as downtown Grass Valley (10-15 min drive). It was a perfect escape from city life, and would love to stay here again.
Great stay with poor timing.
Lovely site, however very hot. if electric is provide we would have been able to operate our AC. Not the fault of the owners but had to deal with the smoke from a fire near tahoe.
This place is heavenly
Y'all, Sharon and Tom are just about the nicest people you'll ever meet, and their property is beautiful! We camped there for 2 nights and had an absolutely magical time. You'll be camping underneath the juvenile willows (that Tom planted himself!) and there is a bit of creek that runs through (which our 2-year-old loved playing in!) The neighbors have a horse named Duke that's a big lovebug and Tom and Sharon have Baby, a sweet mare mostly interested in chowing down :) they have blackberry bushes that produce more than you could ever eat and napping under the willows is a super peaceful and idyllic experience. If we're ever in the area we'll absolutely be staying with them again, it was all around a wonderful experience.
Wonderful thanksgiving trip
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday at Sharon's proptery. The space was the perfect size for our family and set far enough back that we felt safe with our toddler running around. There was a super friendly horse who said hi to us every time we walked by and a huge park not a far walk away. Sharon and Tom were super kind and always available if we needed. Great for family with small kids!
Sharon and Tom were awesome! Very hospitable, kind and their property is beautiful! So peaceful! We had a wonderful stay and look forward to going back! Make sure you say hi to Duke the horse. Thank you for having us!
Sharon and her husband welcomed us at the top
Of the drive way and then escorted us to the site. We had two trailer rigs, each 20 feet. We were able to fit in the camping spot easily. However, I can’t imagine a trailer (fifth wheel/gooseneck) any bigger making some of the turns. The area was a clean, peaceful, and just an overall nice little spot. We really liked the pretty Willow trees and how it was tucked back in.
If we have another event up that way, we will be back. We appreciated the hospitality.
Great grass valley area basecamp
This was a great, quiet spot to use as a base amp for exploring the Grass Valley area. Sharon and her husband were kind to guide our large 35’ Motorhomes in after dark.
