Vanessa is a super host!
We enjoyed our camping trip in this beautiful property. We had Camp 30. It’s the biggest camp out of all of them and it’s the most private. It’s surrounded by trees which provided plenty of shade and sturdy tree trunks for our hammocks. We had an RV which had plenty room in the camp. The dirt road leading to our camp had a dip which caused our RV to get stuck. Vanessa came to try and help us out of the ditch which was really nice of her because we didn't”t even ask her. We were trying to figure it all out on our own. Vanessa was really gracious and even gave us beer vouchers to a local brewery for our trouble. Thanks, Vanessa!
Beware of yellow jackets! :0
Everything about this place was perfect except for the swarms yellow jackets everywhere! The only reason I wouldn’t recommend this place is because we physically couldn’t stay at the site while the sun was out- the yellow jackets were attracted to everything. Water, food, sweat, bright colors. We cooked early before the sun rose, after the sun set, or in Yosemite park. Thankfully we were planning on spending most of our time in Yosemite regardless. It was still a huge paid. I am also disappointed that neither the listing nor the host mentioned anything about yellowjackets prior to our visit. We talked with Vanessa during our visit and it sounds like the entire town of grove land is experiencing this… it’s not new news. Wish this was more clearly communicated with us considering the high price and strict cancellation policy :/
Thankfully we were there on a warm summer weekend, so the weather was bearable early morning and night. Keep in mind we were tent camping. Perhaps RVs have it easier considering they can go inside and escape the little buzzing demons.
Awesome little site in the woods
Great place. Each site is totally isolated from the rest. Very convenient to town and Yosemite. Con of being so close is some road noise. But overall wasn’t too bad. Will be returning to stay here again!
Beautiful little forest oasis!
Beautiful secluded grove with plenty of room, plenty of stars and a short drive to a cool little town. Our host Vanessa was awesome and provided all the information necessary for a great stay. Would definitely stay again.
