More about our property: We have 2.7 acres and 800 feet of river frontage, and all of it is easily accessible. The drought has effected our water levels, as you can see in the pictures, but our river is still running! The campsite is huge, and has plenty of shade. We provide a 10 foot long picnic table at one end of the campsite and a rope hammock on the other end. Walk along wide shady pathways along the river the entire length of our property. You will see our vacation home on the upriver side of the property, and a shared entrance and driveway with the campsite. At dusk, enjoy the ambiance of our warm solar lighting along the river and within the campsite. Our shores are a mix of river rock areas and sandy beach areas. Bring sand toys!
Things to do on the property: relax on any of our 4 riverside hammocks, walk along our shady pathways, play cornhole, horseshoes, float on the river, fish, hunt for crawdads, view wildlife, rock hop in and along the river!
More about the neighborhood: We are in Lynne Park Acres, which is a unique neighborhood of homes on acreage, vacation homes, bare land, and recreational acreage where people camp in RVs on their property on days off . Many neighbors have second homes or properties here, and live elsewhere in California. This is the "getaway spot" for many of us. We have neighbors that also enjoy the river so you most likely will see other people at times on adjacent properties.
More about us: We are a family of 4 and live in Elk Grove, CA. I am an elementary school teacher and my husband is an web manager for an educational non-profit. We have two young boys and a friendly little black dog named Finley :). We bought River's Edge in early 2021 because we wanted a waterfront home and room to enjoy the great outdoors. We have always had a vision of sharing this special place with others and opened our property to Hipcampers in September, 2021.

Amazing - place and host
First of all; Michele and Josh were amazing people, they were very warm and kind couple. They went out of their way to meet with us and guide, tell us about their property.
Second of all; the place was amazing too. Quiet, peaceful, the smell of fresh pine trees was so refreshing.
Neighbors (a little far from the property) were super friendly, (we walked around the trees and the swimming hole and saw 3 neighbors from a far; and they waved!
Our puppies loved the place too! Sound of water flowing was the lullabye at night.
We already booked our next trip next year with them!! Super highly recommend.
Michelle & Josh are the nicest host. Easy to locate the property. I came in at night with no problems. You go through the gate and to your right is the creek. It was very easy to come and go. I loved my morning coffee sitting along the creek. My two small dogs had a blast playing in the water, rocks & grass. Thank you for opening up your beautiful property to Hipcamp.
Labor day getaway
My wife and I headed up to West Point, along Highway 26, for the long weekend. I found this beautiful property through HipCamp.
We took our 12 foot square drop trailer, and had plenty of space to park and set up camp.
The site hosts were really nice and accommodating, They met us on our arrival and provided us with information on the property and the area.
The property has a long river front access to enjoy the Mokelumne River. Camp was just about 15 feet from the waters edge, and had us falling asleep to the sound of the water rolling over rocks nearby. Although it was warm, the water from river and breeze kept us cool during the day.
We saw deer, and an abundance of squirrels and a variety of birds. Really enjoyed our morning coffee hearing the squirrels call to each other from the tree tops.
We have a small dog that went with us and we had plenty of room to take him for walks.
We also used the site as a base camp to explore the surrounding small foothill communities of Volcano, West Point, Pioneer, Glencoe, Mokelumne Hill, Railroad Flat, and Wilseyville.
This was a great location that allowed us to unplug for a bit, still with host provided WiFi, and relax. We would stay again.
