We had six families who wanted to camp together, and this was the perfect place to do it. We had varying levels of camping experience, so it was wonderful to have potable water, a well-equipped kitchen, and toilets available. The property is spacious, which allowed those who wanted to be social to hang out around the enormous fire pit and those who wanted some quiet time to step away. Everyone in attendance commented on how nice the facilities were. We did see a few mice, but Gary had warned us ahead of time to bring our food in plastic bins so we had zero issues with them. Speaking of Gary, he is very helpful and interesting to talk to as well! I would definitely recommend this place to larger groups who want that feeling of being in a neighborhood populated solely by people whose company you enjoy.

This place is amazing. stayed with a group of 6 people and had the entire ranch to ourselves! was so nice to have a refrigerator and kitchen to use and the bonfire pit is insane! Gary supplied the wood and pretty much everything else you need outside of the tent! Will definitely be coming back.

We had our first annual mother son camping trip. It was perfect. We spent the whole day in the water and walking around to see all the different sites on the property.
We saw hawks, turkeys, blue jays , wood peckers and tadpoles. My 5 year old was in heaven. Gary was very nice and attentive.
I would definitely go back.

Our stay was so amazing I don’t even know where to begin. The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean and well stocked, the gas grills were extremely helpful, and the views are crazy! The fire pit was huge and very helpful since it was a little chilly during our stay. We set up camp under the sycamore tree so we were right next to the river. At night you can see the star filled sky and hear everything from cows to coyotes to owls. In the morning you wake up to the sound of roosters and cows. We didn’t get a chance you hang out by the river bed much but we will definitely be returning when it’s a little hotter so we can do that. Gary was very nice and a treat host! If you’re thinking about booking a trip, don’t think. Just do it! Trust me you will NOT be disappointed!

My boyfriend, dog and I stayed on Gary's land over the long weekend and it was beautiful. River Ridge Ranch is located in the tiny town of Springville, 1.5ish hours away from Sequoia National Park.

River Ridge is extremely private during COVID, you'll be the only reservation allowed on the property so you'll have full access to Gary's fully functioning kitchen. You really don't need to bring anything other than your tent + sleeping set up. Gary provides everything from an electric kettle to eating utensils. We used the Sycamore Arch campsite and it was perfect to fall asleep to the sound of the river. We can't wait to go back in the warmer months and swim! Thanks, Gary!

This spot was incredible, had everything and then some to make for the perfect weekend getaway. It exceeded our expectations completely. The kitchen was well stocked, the fire pit was huge, the toilets were clean and the outdoor shower with an open view of the forest was a great way to wake up each morning.

Since we went during quarantine we also had the entire spot to ourselves which was incredible too. Will definitely be back again, hopefully when it’s warm enough to swim in the river nearby
