Well....our property was once an actual hippy commune! For many years this was a place of gathering for people from many walks of life, people that just needed to settle in with nature and find peace. We have slowly been restoring it back to a place for people come gather and be close to all the beauty our area has to offer...just an updated and refurbished version. It's the best of both worlds: rustic and surrounded by nature with all the cozy accommodations to help you relax. Learn more about this land: Please read entire description: This is such a unique property that we would love to share with you! It is very large barn turned vacation rental perched at the very top of San Luis Obispo's picturesque Prefumo Canyon/See Canyon. The front yard overlooks Morro Bay and all the way up the coast toward San Simeon and the back yard is surrounded by plush mountains all the way down Avila Valley with a peak of Pismo Beach. We are fully encompassed by such natural beauty! Although this is a shared barn(we live upstairs and have a couple of monthly tenants), the space you would be staying is very large and completely private with own entrance, 3+ different sleeping areas which can be made private by rustic sliding barn doors or by climbing up a ladder to the sleeping loft. There are three queen beds and a very large sofa(twin size) and is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfy visit. The entire backyard is for you only(patio, firepit, lawn, large deck, etc.) We truly are respectful of you and your space and do our best to accommodate your needs. We look forward to hearing from and having you come stay! ~The McCrory's

Mountaintop Lodge in Restored Barn
Beautiful place. Amazing Views!
We loved the barn. It is beautifully set up, fully equipped with all you would need (full kitchen and utensils, outside grill, fire pit for smores), and the view is amazing. We had a great time and enjoyed staying there as much as we enjoyed the surrounding area. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in the SLO area and doesnt mind a short drive into town.

Great escape
Exceeded expectations. Beautiful space inside and out with amazing views. We met the hosts as we checked in and they were great. They even provided us with fresh eggs from their chickens and firewood. We’ll hopefully be back!

Loved our stay at the Barn!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Barn. Darla and Andrew were amazing hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay great. Their activity suggestions were spot-on and we had a great time as a result. The Barn is comfortable but not fancy, and the setting is breathtaking. The 5-mile drive up the twisty, turney steep road can be a little daunting but the destination makes it worth the drive.
