Backyard Bohemia Desert Glampsite
Really liked it!
I really enjoyed staying in the Backyard Oasis and would recommend it to anyone looking for more of a glamping experience than an AirBnb but might appreciate the warm, comfy bed, the clean restrooms and shower, etc. FWIW, this was my first HipCamp experience and I was very happy with it!

Put the fun in funky
Fun birthday weekend with friends. Diana & Matt are incredible hosts and catered to all our needs. They’ve put a lot of heart & soul into this artistic compound. Winds were crazy loud and fierce; inside the tent was cozy with a soft bed & electric blankets but we still had difficulty sleeping with the wind noise. Our friends rented the suite and slept fine. Our desert stargazer tent was a bit far from the bathroom, but it’s the most private. Nicely laid out funky areas around the compound for different groupings. Fresh eggs provided by the hens. No sink or stove available, but 3 grills, two small fridges, a fire pit (wood and s’mores complimentary) & the coffee bar is a nice touch. Definitely recommend when it’s not gusting 20 mph!!

Wind Beware
This place is wonderful unless there is wind in the forecast. We stayed in a very cute little tent that was fully furnished with a table, chair, and bed (with heated blankets!). Everything was perfect and lovely until the wind picked up in the middle of the night. The next 8 hours were like living inside a windsock: howling winds, loudly clinking zippers on the tent, and the fear that the metal pole in the middle would give way. There was no sleep to be had. Luckily our tent did not rip in half like one of the others on site did that night, but it was enough to keep us from coming back the next night. This was an unfortunate experience as it looks like this place would normally be a joy to stay at. Moral of the story, look at the weather before you book!
