Stepping into a simplier time…
There are so many things to say about Nancy and her beautiful property that is hard to know where to start. Nancy is lovely. She met us just off the freeway and escorted us to her property so we wouldn’t get lost trying to get there. She is so connected to her land and her animals and is a joy to talk to about anything, but especially the nature that abounds on and around her place.
We were there in early August so the land was dry, but still so beautiful in its own right. We camped in our little Casita travel trailer and loved having access to water and power hook-ups. Each morning we’d make our coffee, sit outside and watch the world wake. The morning breeze was heavenly and did I mention how quiet it was? Only the sounds of nature morning, noon and night - divine.
Then there’s Nancy’s horse Hannah, her donkey Daisy and the neighbor donkeys Mason and Chester. Pure delight! Don’t forget to bring carrots to fed them! Visiting these animals will undoubtedly become one of your favorite memories of your time at the ranch.
I guess the best thing off all was how being on Nancy’s land allowed us to really relax. We just hung out, read books, watched the day emerge and the evening stars come out at night. Don’t miss this opportunity to step off the treadmill of your life and just watch the natural world for a few days and listen to the hawks and the donkeys and the wild turkeys.
Thank you Nancy for sharing your very special piece of earth with us.

What a special place! The ranch is set in a stunning location and the atmosphere is serene, with a mellow horse and donkey for company. Nancy couldn't do enough to make my stay comfortable, offering me a cocktail on arrival and showing me around the property, which is beautifully maintained. This will be my stop whenever I'm in the area. Highly recommended.

Camping on Nancy's land was a great experience. Her instructions were excellent and she was really welcoming and helpful. Nice views and a peaceful setting. Daisy the donkey is loud but fun and can go off at anytime! The facilities were basic but clean. It was a pleasant 50 minute drive to Pinnacles National Park, and San Juan Batista is just 10 minutes away. A great get away!
Thanks Nancy!
Nancy is welcoming, thoughtful, and responsive! Our family stayed for three nights and enjoyed kayaking in the Elkhorn Slough nearby and walking in the redwoods in the multiple state parks of the area. The hot shower was incredible, and Nancy provided so many extra amenities (a frig stocked with some goodies and even some chocolate chip cookies for my daughters to bake in her oven!) My daughters adored the animals as well as the other guests, who were very respectful and kind. I admire all you do, Nancy, and our family thanks you for your warm welcome:)

Thank you, Christina, for your lovely compliments. I so enjoy having campers here especially the young horse-crazy girls! And so does Hannah and Daisy. Never enough carrots. I'm so very glad you enjoyed your stay. Coma again! Safe travels, Nancy
Beautiful views of hills and fields, very quiet, no highway noise. Clean and comfortable bunkhouse restroom & shower. Electric and water hookup worked great. Friendly horse and donkey!
The stay here was delightful. Nancy was very helpful, meeting up to help ensure I got to the right location and giving a brief tour of the facilities. The outside common area was set up with tables and chairs and lit in the early evening. Very comfortable and quiet and a nice hot shower, too! Loved the animals (horse, donkey, and Corgis). I would definitely stay again, making this a base to explore more of the countryside and coast.

Hi Nadine. So glad you enjoyed your stay here. Thank you for the complimentary review. Come back again soon and remember to bring carrots! Travel safely, Nancy
Very friendly and accommodating. Large sites for RV with water and electric. About 40 mins to Carmel/Monterey
We had a really great time here. Nancy was really friendly and took great care in making sure we were well settled. Animals were fun and the night sky was amazing!
Nice and comfortable campsite. It’s not super private; we didn’t mind. Nancy’s ranch and her animals made for a lovely visit. Check the weather forecast; it can get pretty foggy in the summer.

Hi Steven. As Mark Twain said, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." Summertime in the California coastal regions likes to sleep in in the mornings, before it gets up to shine! We enjoyed hosting you at Mi Querida. "Hasta luego". Nancy
