Lovey’s was just what we were looking for! We stayed one night in the extra field, perfect resting spot on our trip south. Sue was very helpful and guided us in.
If you are in a big rig I suggest you come in from the south, makes an easier entry turn.

No drinking water & the shower and bathroom water smelled heavy of sulfur. But besides that had great experience

We parked here overnight to break up a long drive up the California coast. Our host was very kind and welcoming, our site was grassy but level, and we felt perfectly safe on the premises. Would absolutely stay here again if given the opportunity!

The site is incredibly quiet and great if you're looking for that. I didn't feel comfortable walking around the grounds as it was mostly people's homes so I didn't experience much outside of the tenting area for a good night's rest. If you're looking for a stopover point, this is a greay spot.

Hospitable host, quiet riverside setting with plenty of shade, grass area, toilet/shower were acceptable. Would definitely return.

It was relaxing. Not much to do but a good way to get out of the house.

Our trip at loveys on the river was very unpleasant. Me and my fiance and our couple friends were going to enjoy a camping trip to get away and we had invisioned this great camping place that was advertised however it was all run down, the bathrooms were disgusting, and infested with spiders, the people there that were long term residents were very unwelcoming, the restaurant there was closed. Definitely not kid friendly. When we went to go swimming, the water there didnt look clean and was full of bugs and mud, the trails to get along the river were steep and full of sandy slippery rocks. My fiance was getting bit up even as she applied bug spray several times and it made it unpleasant. The lady manager was very rude to us and a very condescending demeanor. When we tried to start our fire the second night, she said it was too big and the fire wasnt over 3 feet high and that was only starting the fire up. The fire was only a foot high after it died down. Then the lady started asking us personal questions which made me feel uncomfortable. When we left during the night abruptly because of the mosquitoes and our matress was malfunctioning. The lady harassed us at 1 in the morning to tell us we never put out the fire and we put it out because of her rude approach before we left. Put a couple gallons on the small fire and left with no coals lit. I Would avoid coming here.

I feel it would have been helpful to have more disclosure around how to get around and access the park, specifically giving a guide or map in addition to directions for bathroom/codes for bathroom.

Advertises swimming but it isn't recommended... As in the only place you can access the water for swimming is through rocky and sandy terrain with steep grades and small trails. Definitely not accessible if you have any kind of limited mobility. The water is not clean enough for swimming in my opinion.
