The hosts were very welcoming and gave great suggestions for things to do for my trip to Yosemite. It was nice to have electricity at the campsite and the property was decorated with lights that made it feel very homey. I also loved the hammocks scattered throughout. There was access to a mini fridge, toaster, microwave, water boiler, etc as well as a nice array of simple snacks like noodles, condiments, etc. Note: there is a porta potty and no sink.
Great tent camping and cabins
Nice spacious campsite. Fresh coffee in the morning. Electricity available at the campsite: Helpful, friendly hosts. A little less than 30 mins to the entrance to Yosemite. Very nice cabins if you are not up for, or need a break from, tent camping.
My wife and I stayed at Paradise for the better part of a week. We just wanted a place to put up a tent and have campfires. The campground is actually a ranch, so the campsites are interspersed throughout the property in a pleasant, non-cookie cutter way. There are animals on the property that my girls had a great time playing with; chickens, bullfrogs, and cats. The tent sites have an extension cord for electricity, and even a mini-fridge. There’s no shower, but there are spray hoses at a couple of locations with soap and body wash. The bathroom is a reasonably clean port-o-let. The main building has tourist information, hot plates, microwave, fresh coffee, cup-noodles. etc. There are also paths throughout the property to explore, including a hilltop clearing that is great for viewing stars and sunrise.
We had a chance to take a shower and use the bathroom in one of the cabins. The interior was freshly rehabbed with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. If you are not up for tent camping, or need a break from it, I definitely would recommend one of these.
