Camp beneath my Redwood trees along the Fairy Path and feel the  Forest Magic.  This is not wilderness camping, it is the PERFECT place to pitch your tent if you want to visit  everything in  Del Norte County from a  central location.   Only  three miles to the Redwoods, the pristine Smith River, many ocean beaches, and  Walmart is less than a mile away.

The two campsites cannot be seen from one another, the house, or the road.  The entrance and private parking area is dedicated to my guests so that you can come and go as you please.

The outdoor bathtub and hot shower is very private.  The toilet is portable and serviced regularly.   Guest porch ammeneties include two small refrigerators, microwave, toaster oven, charging station, comfy seating, and Wifi available 24/7.

If you are unable to bring a tent or arriving late, let us know and we can set-up one or more of our tents.  Towels, pillows and extra blankets available upon request.

Things to note:  You may hear vehicles on our private dead-end road, barking of the neighbor's dogs, and another neighbor's week-end hot tub parties.  For the most part, the comment I hear most from my guests is that this is a magical, peacful place.  They leave here feeling healed and rejouvinated.

Tried calling and texting Marie, but the phone number was disconnected. When we arrived the gentleman who showed us around was very nice and friendly, but we never met Marie. The site was nice and the other campers in the other site where far enough away. The port-a-potty was very clean and had hand sanitizer, but the dish wash tub and outdoor shower needed to be cleaned out before we could use them. The site had a nice picnic table and a chiminea with plenty of firewood. There were random people that came by to play horse-shoes, but everyone we met was nice. Great location and easy to get to.

The listing seems to have been removed from HipCamp site since our visit. Host made no reply from our email, but we went anyway. Never met host, only some sort of family friend who told us host has been ill. That explains lack of upkeep on property. Probably a nice place lat year. Very loud neighbors, but not host's fault.

This was someone's back yard, not a campsite. There was a poorly maintained porta potty without hand sanitizer or soap and water. There was no drinkable water. There was a tub out in the middle of the yard with white curtains hung around the tub to give the illusion of privacy. This place works in a pinch but it would not be my first option.

This camping spot truly is a little piece of Forest Magic. Plants and flowers everywhere, it feels like you are somewhere in the woods even though you are in a front yard! Marie already had wood set out for us for a fire when we arrived and there was a covered place with a tarp for our tent! We so appreciated those aspects. The only thing we had trouble with was that we were expecting to be able to shower, but the host informed us that the outdoor tub was better to have a bath in because the water only had one temp- super hot! And the tub was very dirty so we decided to skip out on that! Also there were a lot of guys hanging around the property and people pulling in and out of the driveway, so it definitely wasn't private or secluded! But overall, and besides, we loved this little spot to camp!

The address given was incorrect and her number was disconnected. I had to figure out the address myself as i was determined to find the place and not give up. The site was small and is just in their front yard. The added amenities were not great. The tub clogged up and had leafs in it. I didn’t feel that safe at night. I heard someone screaming in the middle of the night about “the devil.” Also there was dog poop in my campsite. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommended it. The host was nice but it looks and sounds way better than what it actually is.
