The Sequoia National Park is closed due to the KNP COMPLEX FIRE that started burning Sept 10th. Our evacuation warning hasn't been lifted; but the air quality is still bad and the fire is not yet out. Due to COVID-19, we have been booking this Corral campsite only. We are not taking bookings for our 2nd, Bunkhouse campsite - so you will NOT be sharing the bathroom or outdoor shower with other campers. Because we "meet and greet", we ask that you send us a ballpark ETA when you plan to arrive - on the day - so we can arrange to be there and available to show you around. We staying 6+ feet apart outdoors. There is a fire ban in effect. Our propane BBQ (propane provided) can be used. This campsite is for 4 people of any age, race or persuasion. We are not booking larger groups than 4, even though the Bunkhouse campsite is not being booked. If you are a family that is larger than 4 people, message us your family group number and we can discuss it. Our driveway has a sharp, steep turn while climbing our hillside property. This short driveway stops us from hosting RV'S or pulled trailers. If you manage the steep hairpin driveway turn, there is no place to turn around once up. Children are welcome, though our place is very rustic and on a hillside, off of a main road. We are by no means "child proof", but we are child friendly. Three Rivers is a small welcoming village gateway to the southern entrance to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National parks. Our hillside property is located just 2 miles from the parks entrance. Our driveway spills directly onto Sierra Drive, the main little road leading through town and into the parks. So we are very easy to find! You can hear the sounds of the river flowing across the street below.  Unfortunately, we don't have river access; but there are some great places to swim a few minutes drive down the street. Our past Hipcampers have posted pictures of our favorite place - Slick Rock. You can all take unlimited outdoor showers to cool off in the camp. My wife Elizabeth and I bought our home in 2015 after falling in love with our hillside log cabin and its fantastic mountain views. Our dog Ruby was rescued shortly afterward and our dog Chance is a very recent addition. They chase the deer off of our property. If they smell a bear, they will go out and tree him! Bears run away if confronted, or up a tree! If you're lucky, you may spot one! They are generally very timid animals and will run away FIRST if confronted.. In addition to deer, you may see quail, turkeys, raven, hawks, fox, bob cats, coyotes and bear; crossing an animal highway along our upper property line - above both campsites. We have birdbaths to attract wild drinkers and bathers; so there are many winged friends living on and around our place, especially quail. We currently have 2 quail families; 1 living on either side of our property. Needless to say, we are animal friendly and don't charge extra for you to bring your dog(s) to camp. Please LET US KNOW YOU ARE BRINGING DOG(S), when you request to book. Our dog Ruby, is a Black Mouth Cur, and our dog Chance is a Husky Doberman mix. Both are good with people and other dogs large and small. They look forward to meeting you and yours! We have created a safe, comfortable and quiet camping experience in a rustic natural environment. This outdoor campsite includes the exclusive use of a large hammock, a large propane BBQ (propane provided) also with a side burner for regular cooking, BBQ cooking utensils, an extra large picnic table with shade structure built over it, a cold water hose fed spigot and large bucket to wash dishes, 1 covered garbage can, and 1 covered recycling can. The site is designed for a maximum of 4 people of any age.

Great campsite with stellar hosts and unmatched views of the stars at night. The spot is close to all the little stops in town and less than 15 minutes drive to the entrance of Sequoia National Park. Also very worth checking out Slick Rock for a lazy river day. All in all a great experience and we’d definitely come back again!

As avid hip campers, we were delighted to book our stay at Five Four Corral for our trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Sitting about 10 minutes outside the foothills entrance of Sequoia National Park, the location of this Hip Camp os absolutely perfect. The town of Three Rivers is small but beautiful, situated on the Kaweah River. As soon as we got into the heart of Three Rivers we lost cell service, but our Host Brewster had texted us beforehand letting us know about our arrival and he also had working wifi on site as well. The location was easy to find. As soon as we pulled up, that same eclectic vibe that the town emanates, was also present at Five Fours. Giving country ranch vibes, the layout was perfect and so well constructed. We stayed in The Corral which has an outside shower with a large water tank above head. Completely enclosed with a shower curtain and wooden planks to stand on, the water was so incredibly refreshing after a long hot day in the sun. There is a shaded pagoda that covers a super large wooden table with benches for eating and next to that was a beautiful newer bbq with a side burner that worked perfectly for our cast iron skillet. There is ample room for multiple tents in the corral although we only used one during our stay. The on-site bathroom is newly renovated and features a mirror, working toilet, sink and ample space for toiletries. it! There are hammocks located at each of the sites here!! The one in our corral was a two person hammock and honestly when temperatures are running high during the summer, I could totally imagine sleeping right there on the hammock beneath the stars vs in a hot tent. The second camp site is located next to the bathroom. It’s named the Bunk House and although I’m not entirely sure if there were even any bunk beds located on site (lol) there still was ample space for a tent, the one person hammock and another bbq.
We drive a jeep wrangler and we were able to park close to our site which made loading and unloading very easy. The site is extremely clean and very well put together. Brewster mentioned that he had put in all the work himself in creating Five Fours Corral and you could easily see the extreme attention to detail he kept in mind during construction. Every detail, from the wood working to the decor, did not go unnoticed, and his friendly and welcoming demeanor truly made our stay that much more amazing! He gave great recommendations for things to do in town and he even offered to pick us up anything that we may have needed while he was in town one morning - such a nice and genuine guy!! As two females, we always exercise caution when out on camping trips but Brewster made us feel so comfortable and at home and his dogs were very friendly as well. Although dependent on weather, there was great stargazing opportunities at this hipcamp so if you have a telescope or binoculars, bring them, it’s worth it .In regards to location again we highly recommend checking out the river at Slick Rock if you have time outside of the national parks, it’s better on a weekday(not as many people), if not, there’s a turn out after the foothills visitors center in Sequoia NP that has an access point to the river down on the right side of generals highway. It’s a little hike (rock climbing-ish) to get up and down to the water but the view…SO WORTH IT. The river here has crystal clear waters and this spot especially is very clean as not many people come down there. On our first full day here, we chose to visit Kings Canyon first and took the Dry Creek Road into the entrance of the park, highly recommend this drive in the morning when traffic on Generals Highway is heavy, it’s scenic and avoids Sequoia National Park. Brewster’s camp is seriously located right in the heart of it all and really made our trip easy, convenient and fun. We absolutely loved the vibe here and 10/10 would recommend anyone planning a trip out here to stay at Brewster’s Five Fours Corral! We are huge fans of Hip Camps and this one by far is one of our favorites!!!

Five Fours Corral Campsite was an absolute pleasure to stay at. We had a beautiful spot to ourselves with a hammock, nice view, cabana where we could have our meals, and wonderful gas grill. There was even a flushing toilet and outdoor shower, both of which were much appreciated. We also met Brewster, who was absolutely lovely and made sure we were all ok after our drive in. I hope to and look forward to visiting again!
