We enjoyed our stay here. Definitely did some stargazing and enjoyed the lake side campsites. Surprisingly not a lot of bugs. Great service and communication from the camp host. They were renovating the store/cafe but each day someone came by to inform us they would be open for a short time if we needed supplies. Only downfall is that there are very few spots that do not slope for a tent. Would like to see more flat spots for this. Also for this specific site we did not realize that we were at the head of the trail. Wasn’t bad during the day but sure was a bother for the
Early-early morning walkers that talk as they walk. Also would like to mention that we’ve camped at several different campgrounds over the last 25 years and this one by far has the cleanest bathrooms and was always stocked w/ TP.
great campsite on the lake, with easy lake access as well. nice place for a low key paddle or swim. campground well maintained overall. this site is on the edge, so there is a neighbor on only one side.
Will be coming back
Very peaceful campsite. T-19 is on the outskirts of the other sites, so it’s much quieter and has a beautiful view of the lake. The only complaint we had was that the campsites are not very flat. They’re slanted and tough to find a perfect spot for a tent. The volunteers were great and the bathrooms were very clean.
This was a great camping experience! Mosquito Road coming in might be a bit tough to traverse if you’re not used to switchbacks & narrow roads. Despite this, directions were clear & the site was easy to find.
We were right on the water which was so convenient for paddle boarding. The site next to us was closer than we expected, but overall not a problem.
Frank’s Diner was great! Highly recommend a stop there before you leave.
We’d love to come back for a future trip!
