Description

Fancy the cozy atmosphere of a woodland cabin? Located across the bridge from China Flat Campground at an elevation of 4,720 feet, Harvey West Cabin provides awe-striking views of the Silver Fork River and a comfy retreat for those looking to getaway in grand, woodsy style. No matter what your idea of “roughing it” is, Harvey West will have your attention encircled with looming Ponderosa Pines, the light, crackling sound of a wood burning stove, and large, rustic common room fitting 20 of your best friends comfortably. Fishing for brown trout, hiking, bird watching, and river dips are just a few of the highlights the site has to offer. Good news for naturalists, the cabin is old and still on the crunchier side of well done. There is no electricity and visitors should bring fuel for propane appliances.
