We are a family owned/operated ranch, located along the Cosumnes River, one of the last un-dammed rivers in California. As one of the last rivers flowing from the west slope of the Sierra without a major dam, the Cosumnes is a vital example of a healthy watershed. Our goal is to offer a unique outdoor experience for anyone looking for a place to spend time in the great outdoors. Whether you're looking for a single campsite, or a place for a larger gathering, we're excited to have you visit! Take your pick of activities available on site: swimming , gold panning, fishing, camp fires, wildlife watching, floating, hiking, and mountain biking to name a few. There are 3 miles of river to explore. Private and noise free. Porta potties on site.

Site 5 - Sawyer's Bar
The scenery is outstanding and pristine. We were lucky to catch the first wildflowers of the season in early April. The river was raging and cold from snowmelt and rains, so we didn't swim. However, we later found out that a short hike downriver would have brought us to calmer waters. There is also a spot near Sawyer's Bar #1 where you can wade. All of the campsites look great- clean, spacious, and private. Except for the river water, it was very quiet. No parties or hooligans. The directions were very clear. We appreciated the host stopping by and his information and tips about the area. I'm sure that we will be back- perhaps in the summer when we can swim/tube. We saw a coyote on the other side of the river. Definitely recommend this campground for peace and quiet and beauty.

The river is amazing, not too many other people around, the land managers were friendly and attentive, and the property well kept.

We loved camping on Rachael’s land. It was beautiful and rustic. Our dogs had a great time going swimming in the river’s overflow area. The port-a-potty was clean and fresh. This is a self- contained camp, so make sure you bring plenty of your own water. Tom was very helpful and friendly. We would camp here again!

Scenic, peaceful riverfront
My twin sister and I LOVED our overnight March visit here in my van. The signage is clear and charming, yet unobtrusive. The sites are spread out (each has its own clean outhouse and fire pit). While there was a car over at the cabins and some pitched tents a ways over, we never saw the other guests, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. We roamed around a bit to explore and it was just such a peaceful, beautiful and comfortable place to hang out. Very green in March. We hope to visit again. With tent sites, cabins, and van accessible, this location really offers something for folks with different set ups. We had a nice visit with Tom, the ranch manager and enjoyed hearing more about the property of the land and the ranch.
