Welcome to Bridgeport Reservoir Marina and Campground. Classic camping and fishing with excellent views of the mountains and lake We have developed tent and campervan sites right on the water. Lies within the Toiyabe National Forest area and near two distinct hot springs. The lake is great for fishing in the spring through fall. In proximity to great river and stream fishing as well. 30 minutes or 31 miles to Tioga pass into Yosemite National Park. Plenty of mountain biking and 4x4 trails access. Bodie Ghost Town is very close as well.
Some things to be aware of are that this is high desert climate, with little to moderate tree coverage. Imagine it is much like Joshua Tree National Park or Alabama Hills camping area. The elevation is 6,400 feet (1,950 meters). There are many harmless flying insects flying around here. They are called Chironomidae, and the fish love to eat them. Mosquito activity is minimal. Currently the drought has the water level low.

The hosts were amazing and super sweet. The camp site was very clean as well. The view of the mountains and watching the stars from the campsite was breathtaking. Loved my stay there.
Good overall, clean and organized, tent sites very close to one another, nextdoor campers talked and were disturbing late at night, otherwise good spot. Sandy sites.
Clean, quiet and gorgeous view
It was very easy to find my campsite and people were respectful of quiet hours. The camp host was very kind and answered any questions, and included a map of the the area as well. The bathrooms were very clean too. It does get extremely cold at night in early October (my car had a freeze warning) so prepare for that. The road is dirt/ rock so make sure your tires can handle it.
Loved this spot
Loved this campsite. I only stayed 1 out of the 2 nights that I booked only because the weather got too cold in the evening, but I thoroughly enjoyed the one night I was there. I was lucky enough to catch a gorgeous sunset. As other reviews mentioned, there's not much water in the reservoir, but that doesn't deter from the beauty whatsoever!
This place was great! The campground is far enough off the 395 to be quiet and peaceful but still easy to get to. The sites have lovely views of the reservoir. The bathrooms are clean and maintained. There’s a small convenience store on premises with everything one might need. The hosts were very friendly and the camp dog, Sadie, was a joy. This is a definite do-over!!
