Lady-Bug Cabin
Cute cabin but wifi is not good
The lady bug cabin was clean and very cute. If I could do one thing inside it would be hooks. Lots of space on the walls for hooks. A place to keep my coat, purse, leash and other items that I don't want on the floor. The cabin was easy to find. The area around the cabin had not been trimmed back and looked like a great place for snakes to hide. The photo on the website show a more cleaned up look. The cabin is really only big enough for one person and a dog. It was very cold and windy when I went and the Wi-Fi was NOT "lighting fast" as advertised. As a result I kept getting dropped from my zoom meetings. I asked a couple staying in the barn cabin if they could get wifi and they couldn't get wifi either. I can see the dream developing on this land, there are many projects going on. There is lots of stuff laying around. It's not currently safe for younger kids. At least get rid of the old mattresses! I will probably come back again if wifi is better but as a content creator I must have the wifi. Really nice cooking/kitchen area with beautiful co-ed bathrooms next door. I did not walk up the hill as it was to windy. I left a day early because rain was coming and my mini cooper would not have done well on a muddy dirt road. I'll keep checking reviews to see if wifi gets better
Tree Of Life Yurt
The people who host are really nice. However, this place was not quite as we had hoped. Firstly, the yurt/furniture emits some ungodly strong incense smell. It seemed to mostly dissipate after airing the place it out for a few hours, but came back just as strong as before after arriving back from a day hike the next day.. Also, the swimming pool was murky, and unswimmable. It would have been nice to have been notified before arriving, at least. There were also a couple of trash bags outside our door.
Lastly.. when hanging out in the lounge/bar area, one of the people who lived there, or their friends were BLASTING really bad quality, amateur rap music for the hangout area. It was abrasive, and felt unwelcoming.

Due to running into flash flooding, sleet, a mudslide and hail, we were much later than we expected... but glad we made it! Everyone was friendly and the host stayed up to make sure we arrived; and the vibe in the shared kitchen area was a welcome way to arrive. We under a lovely oak and while we didn't see stars (weather!), we did hear owl and coyotes howling a ways away. Bathrooms and showers were clean, but kitchen, not as much. Wish we could have stayed longer... next time!

What a neat spot! The campsites were abundant, the other campers and renters were so sweet, the dogs all had a blast and everyone was really welcoming. The wifi worked well and is being improved upon, the kitchen and bathrooms were kept clean, the trails were beautiful, and the views were unreal. It is windy out there, so be sure to bring a layer for that. 10 out of 10 this place.
