This was our second time staying at this great place near the town of Tumalo between Sisters & Bend. Close access to all things outdoors in central Oregon. Great hosts & very accommodating. The fire pit & parking area for our little 18’ trailer is perfect. We’ll be back for another stay for sure. Highly recommend.

Dawn is the very definition of a thoughtful host. She clearly spent time thinking about how to make our stay more enjoyable and customized the campground to our specific situation (two small kids). I wholeheartedly recommend Dawn as a host and hope to have the privilege of staying with her again some day.

We stayed for 3 nigh at Dawn's place. It was a perfect spot for us to explore Bend, Smith Rock, and Tumalo. We stayed in November and had cold weather and snow, but everything was still comfortable and Dawn provided everything we needed. Nice, big and flat spot for our trailer and our son loved the chickens and goats. The set up is really well thought out with everything you might need. Delicious fresh eggs available too! Thank you.

My stay with Dawn was perfect! She was such a welcoming and gracious host and made sure I felt right at home. The space is gorgeous with so many lovely areas to sit in and relax, make a fire, cook in the camp kitchen, or read in the teepee. I only wish I would’ve had more time to enjoy each space!

Dawns place is beautiful. We parked our sprinter van and stayed for 2 nights. Dawn’s attention to detail was amazing with comfortable chairs, pillows and blankets by the campfire area, plenty of wood and charcoal. She brought us ice and there was drinking water provided. She was helpful when we needed anything and communicated well. Dawn clearly takes pride in her space. :)
What we didn’t expect were additional guests at a tent campsite behind the shower. The shower, as stated, was not private and the toilet bucket was in the shower area, which was a little odd. We had to come up with a system to communicate with the other guests when we would be using the toilet and shower to prevent any accidental “walk-bys”.
The picnic table had been moved out of our site for the tent campers, but luckily we had portable table and chairs we were able to set up from our van.
We would stay there again.

We had a wonderful time at Dawn’s property! Access was easy, the site well kept and lots of amenities (stocked fire pit, outdoor shower, etc). My kids had so much fun with the goats and chickens; excellent place to “free range” and Dawn was extremely welcoming.
The one thing to know, not good or bad just knowledge, is that the site is right next to the host house, and neighbors are within view. This isn’t yourself and 20 acres; you’re staying in a rural neighborhood. Again this isn’t good or bad, just good to know what to expect.
We would stay here again.

WOW! I honestly could not believe how lucky we got when stayed with Dawn at her campsite... I tried to book a campground 2 weeks before Labor Day weekend and of course, nothing was available. Then I stumbled upon Dawn's campsite and I cannot tell you enough that this place is SO AWESOME.
Dawn truly cares, and you can tell by how chill and hospitable she was to my friends and I when we were setting up camp. There were cute camping chairs, and outdoor rugs, and a charging station teepee, and goats, and chickens, and dogs, and shade, and a firepit, and an OUTDOOR SHOWER....
It's the perfect camping spot for 3-4 tents and there's even a coffee gas burner cooking station. It's glamping and farmland camping at its finest. We set up hammocks between the trees that offered shade during the 95+ degree days..
We really only needed a campsite to sleep while we floated the river all day but Dawn's site was honestly so great we had just as much fun hanging out at camp than out exploring Bend.
We will be back Dawn, thanks for everything!

Dawn is so sweet! She made us feel very welcomed the moment we got there and made sure we had everything we needed. The campsite was great- a nice spot to put our tent and a place for a fire. Plus a cool treehouse hangout with charging spots and wifi, an outdoor shower, composting toilets, and an outdoor kitchen. She’s also got chickens and a couple goats that are real cute and friendly. Would totally recommend staying here to anyone wanting a cool camping spot that is close to Bend!

Wonderful and natural space that felt like a home immediately. Plenty of space, beautiful sunrises and 2 friendly goats make it hard to not feel at home. And tons of amenities provided if you need anything.
Dawn, the host, was incredibly friendly and thoughtful and gave some us some great recommendations in the area. We'd definitely come again!

We stayed at Dawn's camp for 5 days and had a great time! She put a lot of thought into the amenities that were offered. From the camp kitchen, to the sitting area and the bathroom facilities, everything exceeded our expectations. Having a hot shower available was very helpful after long days hiking and biking. The menagerie of animals kept things interesting, and enjoyed having them around. I would definitely stay again on our next trip to Bend.

Dawn’s property exceeded our expectations for camping! She has everything you need and more, including a toilet, shower, extra blankets, headlamps and a legit wagon full of firewood! It felt very cozy and welcoming. We were blown away and will definitely be back if we are ever back in Bend.

What a 'chill' location to use as our base camp while in central Oregon, We were welcomed by Dawn's son (Diino) the moment we arrived in the driveway. There was an electric hookup for our RPod trailer, a firepit complete with BBQ tools, a bucket of water for dousing when done with said fire, and a wagon load of wood (although we didn't use the firepit due to fire danger restrictions). There is also a barrel with briquettes for BBQ if desired, and hammocks hanging in the tree. Pura Vida baby! Outside shower available. "Who doesn't appreciate a nice outside shower?" Great stay for 5 days, and will do it again. Oh, almost forgot - Dawn also has several tent sites available for use besides the RV hookup that we used. Dino & Dawn rockin' it!

There were so many thoughtful and helpful touches throughout the camp space. I had absolutely everything I needed within arms reach. This was the perfect place for me to set up an outdoor workspace (fully powered and with WiFi), cook, relax by the fire and clean up! The coffee and cook setup was fantastic. I loved the outdoor rugs to keep my gear clean and out of the dirt, and the outdoor shower was heaven. Best of all were Dawn’s animal friends who hung out with me while I puttered around camp. As a solo traveler I loved having her chickens, goats and little pup to hang out with. Dawn was so warm, welcoming and caring. She designed a beautiful, functional space and loved my stay.

Dawn has added so many nice touches with the kitchen area and a canopy if you wanted to put it up for shade. We did a yoga class with her and purchased eggs produced by her amusing free range chickens. All was awesome. We’d recommend it.

Great location amd only a few miles from downtown Bend. Sunsets were breathtaking, fires pits were clean and nice area felt secured and quiet. Goats, chickens and a pup all roam free but all so friendly and hospitable like the host Dawn.

This site was great! Plenty of space in a wide open yard, the chickens and goats came to visit a few times. Compost toilet was well kept and easy to use. We didn’t use It beyond cleaning our dishes, but camp kitchen was clean and well stocked with all of the essentials. Lots of space to move around!
