Steven & Bill's beautiful hillside retreat was such a special place -- we were happy to stay right outside of Sedona to enjoy a little less foot traffic around more hikes in the area; while still only a 15 min drive away from Red Rock State Park, this was the perfect setting for us. We had a peaceful, secluded camp set-up and even though there were other "neighbors" enjoying their spots nearby too, we felt totally secluded and quiet under the stars. Steven & Bill were wonderful hosts and we really appreciated their extra tips about enjoying the Verde Valley. Would love to come back and stay again (and sip some more Javelina Leap from the nearest vineyard down the road, too, :) ).

Great site! Very secluded site with beautiful views on sunrise and sunset. I will definitely stay again when in the area.

The land and views were beautiful. Steve (or Bill) was very kind and helpful. The camp site felt very private. My only criticism is that the price felt a bit steep for a primitive site with no water or toilet.

Steven and Bill’s place is open desert land on top of a beautiful mountain. We did the campsite option and the site was clean and quiet. In the morning we fed alpacas and donkeys. We felt welcomed and safe. Thank you!

Kinda tough to drive up but it is doable! Sites are well maintained and the alpacas are cool. However the site owners were not following cdc protocols in regards to wearing masks. Very friendly though.

The yurt was amazing and has everything you need! The view from the property was just beautiful to wake up to every morning, and loved feeding the animals! Location was perfect and close to all the local wineries.

This was such an amazing place to stay, and I would recommend it to anyone! The drive up to the yurt is a little scary at night, but it's worth it for the beautiful sunrise views from the property & the secluded feeling of the yurt. The animals are a huge draw of staying here, and besides the farm animals, we also saw a lot of javelinas! The bathroom was really nice, and the bed was huge & so comfortable. With the winter weather, it was a little chilly inside the yurt (as expected!), but the hosts supplied a heater and tons of comfortable blankets. There are lots of thoughtful touches, like tea & coffee and a bottle opener. The property is a quick drive to so much incredible hiking, and it's also very close to Sedona, where we enjoyed a couple of great meals. There was also a really cute restaurant within 5 minutes or so of the yurt. The hosts were really great with communication & directed us to the yurt the first night when we couldn't find it on our own in the dark. Again, I highly recommend staying here, and I can't wait to visit again!

This was an amazing experience. The hosts were amazing, went above and beyond with every detail. This is luxury in the most beautiful place. You will feel like you have the mountain to yourself.

Overall the property seemed nice. I’m only leaving this review for campsite 1. It is basically a pull off on the road to the main property. There isn’t a lot of space and cars go by. A dog nearby was also barking all night. The views were just OK but absolutely no amenities as listed. I personally wouldn’t stay again in site 1 but would consider staying in the yurts.

For 225$ a nite, you get a bunk bed with an uncomfortable mattress and blanket, a bucket to shit in (real composting toilets are constructed different) and bear the stink for days, wait 20 mins for a hot shower lasting 25 secs, and a cold yurt with inefficient space heater. What’s more, sometimes the power is not sufficient or water is shut off. The saving grace is that the location is beautiful with incredible sunsets and an alpaca farm. I’ve stayed in plenty of eco retreats around the world, and while this can be a beautiful spot that price/value is disappointing and greedy to say the least. I ended up finding another spot in uptown Sedona and got a room for 65$ at a meditators house, a warm cozy place, with hot shower and a genuine conversation with the owner of the house.

Steven and Bill have created the most beautiful space!! I cannot say enough about this place and their hospitality. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND for our group and were soo accommodating and stress free. The Yurts are gorgeous!!! The property is spectacular. STAY HERE. Also get the breakfast. The home made scones are the most delicious thing I have ever eaten.

There aren't many places to camp near Sedona and the price reflects the desired location. These are very primitive sites with zero ammenities. The two level spots are very small and close to each other. My 4 person tent would not fit in either spot but those do provide some shade. I chose a larger, exposed spot out of necessity of space. It was not level, full of rocks and cactus, but had a great view. Parking situation is not ideal, as it is on a back road that people use. I couldn't park next to the site and had to park about 30 feet away, walking back and forth through cactus. At one point I had to move my car so other campers could leave. Had I been sleeping, this would have been upsetting. Overall, the hosts are really nice and it looks like it will be a great spot in a few months when they get the kinks worked out. Just know for close to $46 per night with Hipcamp fees that all you're getting is a place to pitch your tent. They have a yurt available to book that looked really nice and has dedicated parking- might be worth the splurge.

To put it as simply as I can, unimaginable beauty and comfort. The photos do not do this place justice. When you stay at this yurt, you are immersed in the splendor of the Northern Arizona landscape. Host were kind, accommodating, and respectful of your privacy. Also, there is coffee supplied in the room which compliments the sunrise you can watch from your bed. Would definitely come back. Not to mention you are stones throw away from some great wineries and restaurants. Cheers!

Absolutely loved our stay at Steven and Bill’s gorgeous spot! Wow, it was one of the most beautiful camping sites we’ve ever stayed at! Steven and Bill were such gracious hosts - so helpful and kind. Out spot was in a secluded area with stunning views. We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend!!

Steven and Bill were very welcoming and friendly. Great communication, answered texts right away.
However, we were not impressed with the site. Very dusty, no shade, few level areas and the swimming hole mentioned in the description is not actually on the property. The price is excessive given that all you get is basically a parking spot with no amenities.

Overall the campsite had amazing views and a very cool hike behind. Would recommend as a cool stay. The host was very nice and was happy to show us all the animals.
However, we wish they made us more aware about the javelinas, our site was surrounded one night presumably from food the neighbors left. Also, the site was not very leveled off and can only accommodate 2 people.

CAMP SITE at RIPARIAN RIDGE
Property was private and had a great view! We even met Ricky and Nacho the Alpacas and it made our stay that much more special. There is a steep hill to get up to the property, but we made it up just fine with our 22ft RV. Close enough to Sedona to enjoy day hiking, and a few wineries right down the road! Thank you Steven & Bill!
