Second time staying here. First time was nice overall. Minus site saying free wood then being told it was donation based once we reached the camp. Second time however solidified me never going back. Dogs and Tom were great hosts never saw Heidi. Our campsite was directly on property line with rambunctious neighbors who one day pooped next to our tent. Restroom needed service when we arrived but never received it till we complained because it was full to the very top. Also to park your car for site two you will get tons of scratches. We were in small car and the trees/brush are so overgrown on the driveway you destroy your car to park.

I have been staying with OMS campsite #2 for the last 3 years. I always brag about it to all my friends. It is a convenient stay from the historic downtown of Eureka Springs while providing a place to detach from the world around & refocus on self while taking in the beauty of nature. The sunrises are stunning & the night skies are beautiful. Last year when we went we were asked to pay a donation for the firewood they have onsite. Which is good being that they take the time and effort to gather and chop it for you. Just be aware because at that time the listing did not mention this. The property next to us has what looked like an carport of sorts located on the same side of the property we stayed at. Each night they had guests & were quite loud pretty late. Additionally they kept the carport light on majority of the evening which we could see. This is not at all the fault of the OMS staff, but something to keep in mind if you are going on a weekend where there are events. Some people may be able to overlook these things & still enjoy all the beauty the property has to offer, however it was disheartening for me. I wanted to use this time to detach from the world & recharge, only to have constant reminders of the world I tried to leave behind. Our picnic table broke when someone sat on one side, looked due to rot. No one got hurt but nothing happened after we mentioned it. Heidi never came out to greet us or visit during this trip. Tom was kind and helpful.

What a great camping experience. Heidi was great amd showed me around the property. She took me to camp site 2, which was In a great location. I love animals and I had a couple of dogs stop by to say hello, a few chickens passed through,, and one cat who hung out with me all night, which was cool :-) I took advantage of the hot tub which was so nice, loved the outdoor shower, and the view of the sunset over the tree line, that was amazing! Not only did I get to visit with Heidi...At OMS I was glad to meet Justin and Raphy (workers) and had great conversations with them as well. I felt safe, secluded, and it was nice to have the well water spout right near Camp. I would definitely return, I had such an amazing time! Oh, and the stars!!!

The campsite itself was lovely. Very peaceful and as a woman traveling alone with her dog I felt safe. There were cute chickens walking around in the morning and some cows in the distance. However I was disappointed when I arrived I couldn’t get a hold of Heidi despite calling repeatedly for half an hour, and the listing has no description for how to find the campsite, just says you have to meet with the host first.

I wandered around for a bit until I bumped into Jonathan who kindly showed me to the campsite. But I didn’t even get a call back from Heidi until hours later, well after dark. I wish I had been able to walk the meditation paths while there but I spent so long trying to get in contact that I had to rush to set up camp before it got dark.

Again, the site was lovely, the drive out there is beautiful, and there are a handful of friendly dogs out and about. But the disorganization really added a lot of stress to my experience.

Loved tent camping here and look forward to coming back again. Even though it rained both nights we stayed the area was perfect for the rain to roll right on down the hill and we stayed perfectly dry in our tent. The staff was so genuinely kind and we loved getting to know him and the doggos! Truly allowed us to get back in touch with nature and slow down. Loved the outdoor shower and the outhouse. Overall amazing place to stay and was great for my college budget.

View from campsite!Lovely camp set up. Fire pit and picnic table provided! View from outhouseOutdoor shower!

Heidi has created an extraordinary place to enjoy the natural beauty of the land. One of the best car camping experiences ever! The compost toilet alone is a work of art. We didn't see any other campers as we had our own water spigot right near our space (#2) and camps aren’t visible to each other. Just a stellar place.
