Ten minutes from HiWay #1, this site has all you need - two room dry (no running water) cabin with kitchenette that sleeps 5 adults. There is parking and power for a RV, space for tents, and a hammock shelter which increases the sleeping space at no extra charge. Provided at the site is a picnic table, fire pit, outhouse, outside shower with shower bags, and reasonable amount of free firewood. Bring your own blankets or sleeping bags with a pillow and you’ll have a comfortable stay at a reasonable price!

Guests can hike to the top of our ridge and view the breathtaking scenery of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, or take a paddle around the lake in one of our canoes and listen to the Loons. Then there’s always the fire in the chimnia on the porch that takes the chill off while you watch the cows in the meadow.

We are a working cattle ranch, and this cabin and site is at the ranch’s barn. Our house is nearby, but we go camping on other parts of the ranch during your stay so you will have the ultimate amount of privacy.

Great location for day trips to Canmore (40 minutes drive), Banff (1 hour drive), and Calgary downtown (45 minutes drive), or just hang around the lake and the ridge, or just watch the cows in the meadow.

All included for $90/ night plus booking fees - no charge for all the extras. We ask that the camper bring their own bedding and carry out their garbage. Two night stay minimum. Will consider requests made at least two days ahead of your stay. This site is a great group camping site for up to 16 people.

What a great experience. A cabin on a cattle ranch with a great front porch to sit and recharge. They let us set up a hammock tent for one of to sleep outside. He is planning to make it even easier to hammock under a sheltered overhang. We walked the whole property; took out a canoe they provided; and used the BBQ to cook up a great meal. The cabin was really clean, had drinking water and all the amenities needed to cook and eat. Finally James and his wife are awesome. We had good communication before and during our stay. James had left his cell number in case we needed something… and when we found our car battery dead he not only answered our call but talked us through finding a battery charger. He saved the day.

Resting on dock after a nice paddle. Life on the ranch without the hard work!!Thanks for the battery charger use !Think this guy knows we had steak for dinner.

What great pictures from your stay - thanks for sharing! What a great spot for the hammock setup and looking forward to next year’s addition to hammock hooks under the shed based on the feedback. Yes, we have a lot of room to have long walks to explore our property. There’s always something to do. See ya again, James

It was a great experience to stay at James' place. Very clean and cozy. This cabin's ideally located to get away from noise and city lights. Easy to get there, and James's attention to us was excellent. We'll definitely come back, and stay for longer to make the most out of this place.

We absolutely loved our stay at James and Sheila’s cozy little cabin surrounded by meadows, cows, and a great little pond. It had everything we could need and was the perfect place to relax and unwind on our way to the Rockies. 20/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone!
